HTC U11 Preorder Thread!

That's hilarious. Why would htc be the last ones to ship their own phone?

I am not sure about the delivery of this phone, but HTC usually uses Digital River for shipments. DR is one of the worst companies you will ever deal with, in my experience. Shipping is always late and slow and good luck getting a refund. Every time I have tried to get a refund, I have had to contact HTC directly and it usually takes about 6 weeks after the phone is received back at Digital River. I have vowed to never buy directly from HTC again. One time, DR even sent the phone back to me after I received the refund and I had to return it again.

I hope for the sake of everyone who has ordered through HTC that this shipment is different.

HTC still uses Digital River, even stating so on the order page. I've read quite a few horror stories about them. I'd cancel my preorder and go with Amazon, but I don't want to lose the $50 discount and PayPal financing. I hope I don't end up regretting my decision. Then again, I can always ask PayPal to step in, if any issues arise.

Did anyone order any cases, skins, or screen protectors?

HTC phones are already hard enough to find accessories for and I've never preordered anything before the U11. A lot of things were available only as preorder or from China. I ended up buying a clear case from Amazon that arrived last week, skins from slickwraps, which I ordered on Saturday at like 3am and haven't received shipping info yet, and then a tempered glass screen protector, but the only one I could find that covered the FULL front and ships before July has black borders and ships from China so I'm not sure when it will arrive.

I just realized my credit card is about to expire and I got a new one today with new expiration date and ccv. I'm wondering if HTC can make the change or should I simply cancel and start all over?

My (Black) order through Amazon Prime now states shipping June 9th, arriving June 12 (even though I paid for overnight)...

I received my HTC U11 a bit earlier than high noon. Sapphire Blue. Was going for black but changed my mind. I need to do a few things with my HTC M7 phone first before i activate its replacement. Feels like a solid phone and much bigger than my M7 that has served me well over the years. I'm sure it'll be night and day for the difference between old tech and new tech. No amazon dot things yet but maybe that'll be shipped later.

Yes I can hold off activating the new card for a couple of weeks. The bank may nag me, but I can explain. Just hope they ship soon. I didn't pre order until June 2nd, so I don't have any idea when my turn will come around.

If you can hold off on activation and if your expiration date hasn't occurred yet, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Whoever is cancelling the order based on speaking to clueless reps are doing it wrong. Wait till June 9th which is the official release date before cancelling.

Through Sprint? You have to go to a website and register. I'll post the link tomorrow if no one else has.

yes through sprint. i haven't got to the point of of calling them to activate it. i think that is how to activate it. always have done it in the store in the past.
