Android Central Question

I'm having some issues with speaker volume on my HTC U11. When listening to Spotify or watching Netflix through the phone speakers, rather than e.g. a bluetooth speaker, the volume will randomly go up and down. Usually it stays at the lower level (still audible but quieter) for a minute or two, then will jump up to be incredibly loud for a couple of seconds, then fade back down again.

Is anyone else having this problem? Could it be an issue with the USonic Active Noise Cancellation? When I tried to use the earphones with this I just got hissing static.

All software is up to date.

Thanks

Sorry - did sign up before posting but don't know why it posted as guest!

No doesn't seem to happen on YouTube weirdly.

It did help turn off USonic, so at least my earphones are no longer crackly.

Unfortunately I still have the volume problem with the speakers though.

Does the phone have an equalizer? If so, does this happen when you turn it off?

Welcome to Android Central! Did you already see if there is an EQ setting to turn off?

Is this only through the phone's main speaker, or does it also happen with Bluetooth or wired headphone?

Yea. Its only through the phone's speaker. Everthing else works just fine. Very very strange. HTC team also seems not to understand the problem with the phone they manufactured.
