HTC Vigor!!!

I'm mostly excited by the 4.3" (hopefully) slcd 720p display.

But HTC sucks with battery life and cameras (minus desire hd and mytouch 4g)

battery life yes. definitely.
but the camera on my tbolt is pretty sweet.

My Fascinate had a better camera by far. I want the camera in the Nokia N9...

Than the bolt? Absolutely not. Your fascinate camera blows chunks next to any of the newer gen 8mp. I've used the galaxy s camera, and it is just barely good enough.

Not a chance. The bolt has soft images and much higher noise and muted colors. No my camera is not defective.

I wish all cameras would go back to 5 mp.

Sounds like someone needs to learn how to adjust the settings. My TBolt is so much better than my wife's fascinate she stopped using hers and grabs mine when she needs a pic taken..

Ha. Well then, my only advice for you is to get your eyes checked. The bolts camera is far, far better than anything the pathetic camera samsung stuck on the first galaxy s could muster.

I gotta say. I don't like the design. There is no kickstand which I use religiously on my TB. And the back is shaped funny with slopes and rounded sides that are perfect for slipping out of hand and dropping. The speaker is tiny and should have been two for stereo. And the ridges on the back will be a total lint and other debris magnet. I mean... even the leaked photo has crap stuck in the ridges. What are they for? Grip? Just rubberize it and be done with it.

It looks like wonderful specs. But dang... why ruin it with a halfdonkey design?

If you want to stick with the HTC brick designs, you could send the sleek ones over to me on Sprint, lol. I've sworn off HTC phones until they start bringing some sleeker phones like the Sensation to Sprint. I'm sick of the bricks

I'm not for bricks. I don't mind a little bit of beveling. I think the Thunderbolt hit a nice medium with the design. Of course I purchased the fat battery with larger back and realized that being a bit thicker made it easy to hold (that's what she said?) and the kick stand still works.

HEH anywho... I just hope HTC doesn't drop the ball on the vigor like I feel like they did with the thunderbolt. There were a couple of design flaws. Charger was on the wrong side so you can't use kickstand in charging mode. The kickstand had some stupid covering on it that chips off when it should have been brushed metal. Updates have been few and far between with the one or two updates it got being really crappy for the phone although I suspect it has something to do with verizon sucking it up with bloatware and dumb break your root attempts.

And perhaps the delays in gingerbread have more to do with verizon than HTC. But that's just my assuming gut speaking.

Edit: Forgot to mention the stupid screen turning on all the time while using the phone causing me to push mute, speaker phone, and hangup buttons while talking all of the time.

Personally, I consider the EVO and Thunderbolt to be bricks. I loved my EVO until I got my Nexus S. The shape is so much better. Then I look at HTC's other beautiful phones and wonder, wtf?

I will say, every Thunderbolt I've seen has no problem being flipped over on the kickstands so the charging port is on top. The kickstands holds the weight fine.
