If another company comes along and wants to buy all of your stock of a particular item, and offers you a premium, wouldn't you be tempted to do it? Also, could be that the camera module is having low yields, and we also know that the aluminum body takes ~3 hours of machining to make.

That 220 minutes quoted is for the entire phone.

Also, the camera module is understandable, because this type of sensor is totally custom and hasn't been in any mobile device yet.

Ill still wait until google io to make my choice of a new phone. Im not sold on either the s4 nor the htc one at this point. I may look into moto and hopefully another nexus. I still say this aint good for htc but theres nothing we can do about it.

Who/Where has offered any preorders in the US for the One yet?!? BestBuy cancelled theirs just as it was to start last week.

It doesn't mean parts suppliers won't be happy to have HTC's order. It simply means that they aren't willing to make their larger customers unhappy in order to fulfill it. If a Plant is already running near crosscut with orders from Apple or Sammy, the HTC's order is just going to have to wait.

I just think they have a winning phone on their hands. If they really improve on it over the next year instead of putting out more phones......I really see it as a phone that will want to own when they see it.

im use to this news being on verizon. nothing ever comes on time. im sure the phone will come out. maybe it will give them time to throw 4.2.2 on it. or a fake delay for android 5.0 wishful thinking

Nah, there won't be a Nexus 5 unveiled in May, too early for it. The Moto X or NXT be it a single device or a full lineup is quite likely tho. We can also expect Key Lime Pie and a lot about Glass along with some GoogleTV thrown in the mix.
