Huawei ID: What is it and do I want it?

Is it worth setting up a Huawei ID on my P9 lite? What are the benefits? What are the downsides? Thanks!

Some apps need to be able to manage and make calls but if they're respectable apps you needn't worry. GSam Battery Monitor recently requested the same permission on one of my devices and I granted it.
