Huawei mate 10 pro and S health

[Android Central Question]

Hi. Huawei mate 10 pro is not counting steps in S Health app when app is running on background. All other pedometers work perfectly, however Samsung Health works only when switched on on main screen. I've excluded it from battery optimisation, added auto launch and gave all the permission. Clean installation Done, but still not working. Any help?

I installed S-Health yesterday and haven't been able to get it to count steps either and I've tried everything. Weird
