Huawei mate 10 pro updates in UK

Hi

I am a current Huawei mate 10 pro user in UK since a month.

I wanted to know what security patch are people on from Europe and the UK.

I am stuck on the January Patch with Model number BLA-L09.

I'm in UK. I have June 1st patch 2018.

I have the unlocked UK Mate 10 Pro (C782) and received the following response from Huawei:

"We have checked the IMEI numbers in our database and the latest update available for your device is the .148 one. It has been released a few days ago only so your phone should receive it soon enough as well. If you do not receive in a couple of weeks or so do not hesitate to contact us."

Let's see ...

Am on. 132 which is 1st June security updates.
Firmware finder has just shown. 133 for the c782 which includes Oct patches and gpu update

I'm hoping we get 9.0 Pie before Christmas. Maybe wishful thinking but I'm actually looking forward to trying out the gestures on my M10 Pro

Yeah really hoping we get it soon, hoping it will freshen things up and prolong my time with it as I just get so tempted by the newness. The pixel 3 software wise and the mate 20 Pro hardware have me really tempted, especially the mate 20 pre-order offers in the UK.

This is exactly where I'm at, at the moment.

There is no absolutely compelling reason to upgrade to the Mate 20 Pro (other than it's bloody amazing) and a new UI on my 10 may go some way to delaying the inevitable.

I don't think I can resist the temptation of the mate 20 Pro! Coming from mate 10 Pro it feels like it would be a good step up in terms of hardware plus getting the Pie factor earlier than waiting for update.
It's gonna hurt financially but i think it'll be worth it....

Yeah, who the hell am I trying to kid?! I'll probably order soon to ensure I get the GT and charging pad. Funny/sad that I'm trying to convince myself - it's a losing battle.

Best prices for contract in the UK seem to be around the £46/month mark with 30GB data.

I predict a number of us will be discussing cases etc within a couple of weeks!

😂 Yep, don't be in denial! A lot of us will be upgrading! And like you say makes it more worth while with the free watch and charging pad. I think I might pre order now.....😬

Need to get mine from O2 but frustratingly they only have twilight and black colours to pre order, neither of which has that special coating/surface that helps reduce fingerprints and improve grip. Black or Twilight then??

I also have to get mine from O2 and am a bit gutted that the blue or green isn't available yet. But the GT and wireless offer is really attractive.

I'll probably do my pre-order tomorrow and I reckon I will go for black.

Have fun choosing!

After having both of the previous Mate phone's 9 an 10 Pro that's where my relationship will end with Huawei, doesn't matter how good there hardware is, and I believe it's the best on the market, software wise it's just not good enough. Had to buy a pixel 2 XL earlier this year to get any updates at all, still on June security patch. Moving forward only two handset's I will buy Pixel or iPhone until the other manufacturers get their act together. Software experience beats any hardware for me as that's what runs the phone.

Unfortunately not. Have emailed Huawei customer services again who have said they have forwarded my phone's details to another department to push the update to me. I am not holding my breath. Still on the .132 with the 1 June 2018 security update ...

That's all I'm on too. .133 shouldn't be far away tbh being that they release the updates each quarter

I get what you're saying but how good are other OEMs of updating their phones? Are Huawei particularly bad or the same/better than others at providing uodates? (I genuinely don't know).

Which is why I said Google and Apple are the one's am sticking with. Having said that I have a S7 Also which gets security updates every month. Just not a Samsung fan so won't buy any of there device's S7 was a replacement to a faulty Nexus 6P.
