Re: Huawei p10 Camera blurryk

I was reading the different posts a few days ago, and i was (and still am) convinced that the problem is a hardware problem. The right part of my screen was out of focus (color sensor). I bought the replacement part, and i'm waiting for it to arrive (40 days to Argentina), so i decided to try the different solutions while the replacement arrives. If i hit the phone with my hand, or against the table, nothing happens. (always checking that the monochrome sensor is OK). What worked for me, was to stand the phone on a table, and let it fall screen down (check the table is clean of any particule that could damage the screen). I did this a couple of times....and now is far better. Not perfect as the monochrome, but i can take a picture now. It seems that the zooming parts are somehow stucked. I'm still replacing this component...but it might help you.

That last part actually worked!!! Thank you!!! At first I tought that you wre joking a little bit, but then I became desperate and actually tried to smack it onto the table. And the pictures look professional again. I highly recommend doing this if you have the same problem (do it on your own risk).

I had the same issue with my Huawei P10 and I tried the same as you told and it definitely worked!! Since then when I need to take some photo I just hit it against my belly LOL @Manu Galdeano
Could you let me know where did you buy the replacement part (share the link) and tell me if it has fixed the problem? Tks mate.

Guilherme, i bought it from aliexpress. This is the link:

https://es.aliexpress.com/item/Original-Backcamera-Back-Rear-Camera-Module-For-Huawei-P10/32813668614.html?spm=2114.13010708.0.0.LchrMU

I replaced it by myself. It is not that complicated, but yoou need a set of plastic tools to open the phone, and a very specific screwdriver (pentalobe 0.8, not expensive) to unscrew the bottom screws.

Here's a video to show you how to do it.

The camera is perfect now.

BUT, and this is the reason why i came back to this thread, i now can't take Wide Aperture photos. I mean, the mode is there, the sliders are there while i take the shot, but when i go to the gallery, the icon to change the aperture value is not there. I don't know if it is for the replacement of the camera module......but it might. I don't know.

I hope this is helpful.

Greetings from ARG!
Manu

It did work! :) Thank you, Thank you. 🤗

dropping your phone face down from a 90 degrees position works 2 or 3 times should be enough, make sure there is no hard objects that would damage your screen

Hello. I have the same problem with Huawei p10. The camera lenses are clean, shaking the phone won't work. The monocrome camera works perfectly but the color one is out of focus. Could you give me some advices?

I have the exact same issue, it has just developed in the last few days. was wondering if you managed to fix it. Please let me know

I had the same problem where the rear cameras would only focus in monochrome, but performing this trick fixed the camera's focus in all modes including colour. not sure how long it will last before it does it again but will let you guys know if it does

I am having this problem also. Developed about a month ago. The focus seemed to come back a couple of times then within a day was blurry again. I have had the phone 18 months without problem until this.
I will never buy a Huawei phone again. For such an expensive bit of kit stuff like this should not happen.
Clearly a widespread fault effecting many, many people. Not good.
I will try the table toppling fix, but still, really not good enough!

Also tried the table toppling 'fix'. Does NOT work for me.
For those reading this thinking of buying Huawei. Think again.

The table idea was genius, fixed mine after 3 drops. Been ok since. Thank you.

I have the same problem but try to hitting the phone on secondary camera it will work, you have to do it every tim, its work👍🏼

i have the same auto focus problem with p10.. i slightly tapped the camera on the phone different sides and it kinda worked. the pictures became clear. but after an hour tried to use the camera. auto focus not working again

Hello all, just a quick question: does this apply also to the P10 lite version that you know of?
the lite doesnt have the wide function.

Im thinking to buy a Huawei p10 coming from HTC which I had constant camera auto focus problems with -which were mechanical issues.
