I have a Huawei P9 and I am constantly missing the notifications for events because, despite having set a ringtone noise (one of my own music files, not one of the phone's default sounds), the notification alert just vibrates once instead and makes no noise. This is especially a problem with early-morning notifs (I have it set to alert me two hours before the event); I have my Do Not Disturb setting until 09:00 am, and don't get the event notifications at all if they are set to go during the do-not-disturb time, even though I have marked the calendar app as a priority one which means it SHOULD go off even during do-not-disturb, as I understand it.
I got it to work by setting the ringtone as the phone's default notification noise (by mistake) - but then I was getting the song playing at every text etc, which is really not workable.
Can anyone help? I want only the calendar notifications to make this sound, and it's driving me crazy that it's just ignoring the settings!
