Huawei P9 Lite - Cannot access Music on SD Card to transfer onto a Windows 10 laptop

Hi I have a Huawei P9 Lite - Cannot access Music on SD Card to transfer onto a Windows 10 laptop. The music is on:
SD Card/Music/Import USB etc etc. I can play the music ok on phone.
When i plug into a laptop (i have tried 3 laptops), i cannot view this folder, but i can view other music, this music in particular is where the bulk of the mp3s are.
the phone is fully upgraded on - EMUI 5.0 VNS-L31C432B371.
i have downloaded the Huawei Sofware also.
Any help here?

Welcome to Android Central! What if you Unmount the card (in Settings>Storage), remove the card, and insert it into the laptop's SD reader?
