Huawei P9 Lite not playing music from SD card

It seems that since the last software update that my phone will no longer play my music files on my SD card.
I have tried formatting a different card using the phone format feature. I also tried a factory reset with no success.

Have you had similar, or do you know a possible fix?

Which music app? If it's Play Music, the update could have changed something in it.

It appears to have happened after the latest update and none of the music apps (Pre-installed Music and Google Music) work for the SD card. Although 3 pre-installed tracks will play.

Facing the same issue Since the same time this thread is created

At first i thought that all songs are not playing but just checked and as you mentioned only the songs in the SD card are not working
