huawei p9 sending picture messsage converts to bad quality

how do you make the huawei p9 phone stop converting a good quality image into a pixelated poor quality one that you can't make out what it is when you add it to a sms to try and send a picture message please? thanks.

Have you tried to use a third-party text messaging app like Textra?

Welcome to Android Central! How big is the picture you're trying to send? Remember that the max filesize of an attached photo is about 1 MB, so the phone will always compress larger photos over MMS.
