Huge opportunity for LG

Actually they are targeting a very niche crowd but not the general public

I think they had no options but to follow the leaders and add the mainstream features at the risk of losing some existing followers. It was smart to still include some niche or exclusive features.... Not so much to attract people but to help retain any business they pick up once people discover certain features that they like. I would really like to see them double the warranty like the did with the G6. Doesn't help those here who jump at every new release unless the warranty is transferable or they give to a relative.

Not bad. Oppo is the only company doing it in Singapore. For a second year warranty and 1st year crack screen replacement free

Not true. it has everything to do with the name. especially s phones and the note.. if Samsung released another Galaxy s or note phone they would crumble.

No, it is 100% the products. LG doesn't make high quality, reliable devices. Samsung does. I had an LG G2 and I had to return it for touchscreen issues. That one worked for a while until the GPS stopped working. Lots of people have been burned by LG like that, if not worse. If LG cleaned up their act and improved their products, Samsung wouldn't be running away with the sales.

You don't think the G6 and the V series are improvements?

LG makes a great phone. They hit a few bumps here and there. Apple and Samsung weren't always on top. The problem with being on top is someone is always trying to eat your lunch. Look at how well Huawei is doing in foreign markets. Innovation is what drives the market. Right now things are stagnant. Technology is just waiting for the next ground breaking innovation to surface. The IPhone is a perfect example. They simply added a phone to an Ipod touch and things took off. LG keeps trying to innovate or be different but they haven't hit on the next big thing yet. If you don't try then things don't change.

I think with G6 and V30 LG has reached a different level... I say with the top players now... They just need budget for marketing and lot of promotions... I am really happy with G6 and was very happy with G4 aswell..
IF u go to see Apple and Samsung forums u will see how many are not happy

I don't disagree... I'm just saying cell phone technology is making incremental strides right now where there aren't making the consumer want to leap to the next new and improved feature if they are already comfortable where they are. Right now manufacturers have a better chance of gaining customers because someone else fails and not because they do something better.

And yet they're not rushing out to buy LG phones either. There is no perfect phone. We buy what best suits us overall, and learn to live with the compromises.

After my LG V20 started to lag at the two month timepoint I could never go back to LG again. I only purchased the Lg V20 to hold me over after the note 7 fire bomb. Now Im proudly back to the amazing Samsung devices that dont lag and never fails me.
