I have a Sprint hero not a gsm hero.

those instructions were for the CDMA (Sprint) hero. Just put it into your sd card, load up adb and type:

cd c:\android-sdk-windows\tools
adb shell
su (not necessary if you get #)
mount -a
flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery-RA-heroc-vWHAT_VERSION_YOU_HAVE.img

Ok well I'be found a way to get back to my original restore. So I'm back on 1.5 but tried loading another rom and still same problem. Won't go past boot screen I don't know what to do. Should I unroot and re root? That's the only thing I could think of. Any ideas?

wipe everything then flash your rom via recovery i wouldnt use a rom manager just do it the easy way and it should work make sure you do a nandroid backup via recovery before you do it so you can go back if it messes up beezys koolaid roms work really well if you dont wipe data and dalvik and sdcard partition you will get stuck in a boot loop

you need to reformat your sd card. you have a bad ext partition on it.

when i changed my ext2 to ext3 my phone did the same thing i wiped everything and reflashed the rom and it worked

Yea I was thinking that cause when I try yo load another rom it tells me something about a bad sd ext. I'll try it first thing in the morning.

I switched to the RA recovery and repaired SD card and repartitioned it and loaded up a rom and works fine.
