Hundreds of emails download in Gmail on Nokia 7.1

Hi, I'm using Gmail on Nokia 7.1. I only check my emails occassionally on phone. When I do, it tends to download a weeks worth of emails from the server. How do I reduce that to just 48 hours of emails? I can't find the setting.

I don't think you can limit the amount. Unless you've deleted them from the server, all will show up.

Welcome to Android Central! Open your Gmail app, tap Menu>Settings, then tap your account. Scroll down to Days of Mail to Sync, and edit that to your preference.
