It may very well be HTC's fault, but it could also be that they were told by Customs that everything was fine and then, with no warning, this happened. We really have no way of knowing whether HTC dropped the ball, or if Customs pulled a 180 at the last minute, or if this is the result of Apple interfering, or if it's all the illuminati...

And since all the customs stuff is under seal, we may never know the true answer. :-(

Got my "indefinite delay" voicemail... Oh well.. *-turns green, tears off shirt and begins smashing inanimate objects. **

Bahahahaha. You poor Android suckas. One thing to be sure of - the iPhone 5 will be released by the time the Feds pull that ship loaded with garbage out of its Atlantic holding pattern. Long live Apple!

HEHE yes the iPhone 5 that will basically be the iPhone 4 with features that should have been added two models prior but were held back by Apple just so that had something to call "new!"

Cracks me up. i:-*i

Don't get me wrong, the iPhone is a nice piece of hardware. Very well built. Its OS is just too restrictive and well..boring. Also when will you Appleheads get a larger screen than 3.5"? That is way too small. I am also looking forward to a duel core CPU phone. You guys have that in the works? i:)i

Just got an email from Best Buy. Looks like they are communicating that the release date has been officially moved out to 5/23! No need to cancel, I can wait a few more days for a truely amazing phone! I can hear the continuous snapping of the camera now...

WireFly is still not giving/ doesn't have any information to give:

Please wait while we find an agent to assist you...Please be sure not to refresh your browser or hit the "back" button during our session.
You have been connected to Susane.
Susane: Hi Customer. Thank you for contacting our chat support group. I'd be glad to help you with your concern.
Susane: How are you doing today?
Customer: I'm good, how about you?
Susane: That's great, I am also doing good. Thank you for asking.
Susane: For security reasons, could you please verify the last four digits of your Social Security Number?
Customer: ####
Susane: Thanks for the verification.
Susane: I understand your concern; however, the launch date for this device has been pushed back and we do not have a definite launch date.
Susane: We do not have any Estimated Shipping date.
Customer: okay. do you know if preorders will be shipped out on or before launch date, whenever that is announced?
Susane: We will fulfill the order as soon as we are authorized to by Sprint and they will be shipped on a first in / first out basis.
Customer: okay. does wirefly have phones ready in stock to be shipped out when Sprint gives the okay, or is wirefly itself waiting for a shipment?
Susane: We do not have the phone in stock.
Customer: Is WireFly expecting a shipment before launch day?
Susane: The shipment of the phone "HTC EVO 4G LTE " has been delayed to 2-3 weeks.
Customer: is that delay wirefly exclusive or does it apply to all distributors?
Susane: It is for all the orders of the phone HTC EVO 4G LTE .
Susane: The delay is from Sprint.
Customer: okay, then why is Best Buy sending out e-mails to customers that the new launch day is May 23?
Susane: I have no information about that.
Customer: okay. can you tell me where my preorder stands on the first come first shipped line?
Susane: Unfortunately, I don't have the information as well.
Customer: okay. thank you

I'm still keeping my preorder through them because it's too big of a deal to pass up ($160 savings between the two lines, plus free blue tooth, plus free upgraded next day shipping), but this lack of information is pissing me off

I wonder how many peps jump ship and cancel the order can I get mine

Interesting result! I didn't pre-order EVO 4G, but I was interested in closely looking at device when it comes out. Surprisingly, many people are still patiently waiting for the releasing that was pushed to forever. I hope everything worked out well and see the device very soon.

I am right there with yah but i am going to call sprint and make a stink cause i paid that 45 dollar buy up so i want that back

So you paid $45 to upgrade a week early? I doubt you were eligible for an upgrade after the delayed release date.

All of you people that think you have been wronged by this and trying to get free stuff out of this really irritate me.

Well, I paid the early upgrade fee without any qualms in order to get this phone. However, if this delay goes on into June you can bet that I will be asking for a portion of that money back. I bought it out specifically to upgrade to this device in May. I know this isn't Sprints fault, but I have no recourse against HTC directly.

Incredible. If you look at the table and how much it cost to upgrade for you($45) you will see that there is a 4 month span for that price. Sprint to Offer Early Upgrade Buyout Program ? Sprintfeed

The price structured has been tweeked a bit since this came out, but you will get the idea.

I doubt a week or two would of pushed you into the 22 month/free upgrade.

I really hope sprint tells you off if you do call to try to get money back...

Yep free stuff is cool but i only ask for what i pay for :)

Now if they wanted to send a massive sd card to make me smile I would have to accept...i guess lol
