OK, well this is telling. So this conversation is about winning and losing? This makes things much clearer now.
No. It's about truth. And you will have none of it.

For the average user, the more versatile HTC One, with its added bells and whistles, is probably the better option. But the choice here is do you want a fast camera that sometimes falls down on image quality, or a slower shooter with the potential to capture more fine detail.

So you're saying a modern 4mp camera is far better than ones produced in 2003? OK, I can buy that. Can you point me to a few so I can have a look?Tell me, do you think everything is the same on your 2003 and 2011 cameras except the number of pixels on the sensor? Just curious.
From what I've read, anyone that has a different opinion than yours is uninformed or in denial according to you. My opinion is that the M8's camera is disappointing period. Regardless of how many megapixels it has.

One of my first cell phones was a bag phone for my car. How does this compare size wise? J/K. How does this phone compare size wise to the DNA?
I don't care what kind of phone you have, that's not how I judge someone's worth or intelligence.

How is this even up for debate? In 2014, compared to other smartphone cameras, the M8 camera is garbage.

The bottom line is a larger pixel will have a higher dynamic range. This matters for many reasons not only in-door low light scenarios. The M8's f20 lens will capture more light than whatever phone you're using. With the M8 you will be able to go with a higher shutter speed, therefore minimizing blur, then your phone in the same light conditions. Yes if you have crop the hell out of an image you will pixelate sooner with the 4 MP iamge. BUT with the 2 micron pixels/f20 lens you will be able to get shots that are simply not possible with the ultra MP cameras. Again this is all theoretical, there are other variables at play but I'd say HTC has definitely got the right idea.
Have you looked at any of the comparisons shown on a myriad of websites? It's not even in the same league as the 2013 flagships. Of course that makes sense because they basically stuck the same camera that was in the M7 in the M8. But why stop there? Take OIS out, too.
That's not trolling at all. It's reality.

Not that the rest of the phone isn't horrendously overrated, but still.

and this from someone that is touting Touchwiz as the greatest thing since sliced bread....
Where did I ever say that? I said that Sense 6 isn't some great advantage over the refined Touchwiz on the S5.
As far as the camera goes, Google it. I'm not wasting my time posting things that have either already been posted here or are easy to find. Imore did one. Phone Arena did one. There's a few others.
