I am rooted, turned on tether, but dd-wrt wont work with it

I do a site survey using dd-wrt and see my Optimus tethering. I join the adhoc and dd-wrt changes to Client but I never get an IP.

does anyone know what else I need to do?

I tried to set the router to Adhoc as well with no luck.

I do not mean this in a snooty way at all. What are your trying to accomplish? Connect phone to router, or router to phone?

just for surfing of course and email.

Can't you just connect to your phone itself, or must you use hardwire from the router?

repeater is the correct setting if you need to use hardwire, otherwise just use your phone as access point.
