I'm going for a short trip this weekend and wanted to get a spare battery as soon as possible. Went out to the mall and picked one up for $20. There are some differences between the stock battery that came with the phone (made in Korea), and the one I bought today (made in Japan, assembled in China). It also has some different wording and symbols on the front. Fake or not all I care is that the battery is safe for my phone to use.

The first two pictures is the spare battery I bought today and the last two pictures is the stock battery that came with the phone.

***Sorry about the pictures being sideways***

Hard to say.

Since they have different 2D barcodes, where does it take you when you scan them with your phone?

Get a barcode scanner app to test.

I've seen 'legit' replacement batteries that match the stock for $5 shipped. Didn't have the label these do
