I bought the 128 GB White P3XL. What did you get?

Can't wait for you to get your phones. I know you have been waiting :).

My wife has been waiting in particular, as her ancient Nexus 6 battery is finally failing and not getting her through a day. And NOW she is not going to make-do with a hand-me-down. She gets the exact same Pixel 3 XL 128 as I do this time!

And it's cool to hear that you are selling all your other phones and settling on the Pixel 3 XL! I'm not concerned with the "notch" as apparently there is an option to black out the notch area entirely and make it look like a screen with no notch at all. So it should be no big deal at all.

I talked with a Google Fi rep and she said to ignore the Nov ship dates as that was a mistaken shipping estimate stated on both Fi and Google store purchases. She said both of my phones will ship on or shortly after Oct 14. We shall see if she is right!

Oh no that wasn't me with the selling all of my others phones :P.

For now I have ordered both pixel 3 and XL version. Will see which one I'll want to keep after watching few videos. Both estimated to deliver Oct 18-19 with expedited shipping.

I bought two "Just Black" Pixel 3 XL 128. + stands.
Since we are on Project Fi, we get $800 of Fi credit for buying two Pixel 3 XL's!
And I have a perfect condition Pixel 2 XL 128 that I'm trading in and should get the max $550 for.
That makes my wife's new Pixel 3 XL 128 essentially FREE!
Is that cool or what?

Good luck on the trade in... I checked my Pixel 2 XL and you only get about $335... Iphone x gets the full $550.

Is the trade-in process painless? I'm thinking about trading in my P2XL, but I don't know yet. I've never traded in for a new device. Do you have to mail the phone first or how does that work?

Are you sure about blacking out the notch?
I know it's possible but I haven't seen it confirmed.

You can get at least $450 if you sell it on Swappa or craigslist

I have a delivery date of October 18th for a 128GB Pixel 3XL, Black on Black on Black.

I have the iPhone XS Max ad I ordered the XL 128gb and picking up on release date from Best Buy.

Depends on how high your threshold for pain really is. Look through the back pages of the Pixel 2 forum, and make your own decision, but you'll be much better off selling the phone yourself.

I found it painless last year when trading my 6P for a 2xl.
Yesterday I pre-ordered the 3xl and, again, went the trade in route on my mint 2xl.
My reasoning is this. You definitely get significantly more selling through swappa or another similar site but I've never done that before and my trade in value ($325 64gb version) covers what I owe so my monthly payment will stay the same.
This was the key to me updating to the 3xl anyway. I don't mind the monthly payment, but didn't want it to go up. Cover my balance due on the 2xl and I'm reasonably happy.
My one caveat is that between now and delivery of my new 3xl, I am going to investigate selling on swappa and see what I might get, especially since I have several very nice cases to include in the sale.
Long story short is that they make it pretty painless but you're not maximizing the value of your current phone. If you like easy and are ok with leaving a few bucks on the table, then the trade in program is for you (and probably is for me). LOL

I pre-ordered a Pixel 3 XL 'Clearly White' 64GB model. Was sat with YouTube open in one window watching the event and the other with the Google Store open ready to order the moment I could :D Can't believe I've got to wait til November though to get it (UK)
