I can't get the software update for my galaxy s6

I have an unlocked galaxy s6 that I use with t-mobile. A while ago there was a software update for galaxy s6's (5.1.1) that I am unable to get. My phone's version is still 5.0.2 and when I check for a software update it says that the latest updates have already been installed. How can I get the software update?
