I could use some help (weird issue)

So my phone had some data/signal and weird glitches when I first got it,(I actually took it to Verizon and they changed out the SIM for me) but the problems seemed to disappear with time.

In fact as time went on this phone seemed to only become even more fast and smooth than I'd noticed. (People have recently commented on how quick/smooth this phone does things)

(Haven't rooted or anything yet).

The last couple days I noticed the charging icon in the corner has twice had the lightning bolt when not actually charging. (One of the times it thought it kept going on and off while I had low battery so the warning popped up maybe fifty times in a minute or so)

And now today it rebooted on me twice! Even worse... the second time it got stuck in a on that graphical intro thing so I had to yank the battery!

Why would the phone start acting up now? I figured the initial glitches (I got this phone late March) must have been app related, but I never saw it get stuck on reboot before or think it was charging.

I did recently install Friendcaster over Facebook, maybe 3 days ago is that a problematic app?

Should I be worried that I have hardware issues? Or am I just being paranoid... My old Droid (and DroidX) rebooted randomly every now and then...

Any thoughts?

Might be the app, but that is odd. Your battery might have gone bad. Do you have a spare that you can swap with your normal battery to compare?

I've noticed the occasional odd charging issue when I've used car chargers that charge below normal levels.

I don't think the charging issue and the issue with the forced reboot are connected... I'd say the second issue is app related, though it could just be a bug in the software. If you wanted, you could try to remove the app or any apps you think are causing it, and then add them back in one-by-one slowly to see if the problem happens.

As for the charging issue - if it persists, I would try to get a replacement battery. That's not normal.

There are actually other threads on this forum from people with the battery charge issue that you have stated, but from a long time ago. Not sure what the fix was, I think some just got a replacement phone. However, i would try a new battery first. Go to a corporate Verizon store and they will give u a new one to try at no charge to you.

If the battery doesnt work, You can try a factory reset, that may solve your problem as well. If all else fails, I would have verizon swap it out. Leave the phone stock and dont root or unlock it while u have this issue. Its always possible that theres a glitch in the rom but i would say thats not likely.
