I was recently watching a WiFi enabled TV and noticed that my chromecast buttons were enabled. If I pressed it on YouTube, it did nothing but when I pressed it on Netflix, it opened the TV Netflix app but wouldn't let me play anything from my phone. Anybody know why that is? I have a VZW note II running Jelly Beans build 20. As far as I know, this build was released before chromecast came out, so I don't think the ROM has any chromecast features.

This functionality has been in YouTube for a while. I used to use it on my Xbox and I know it works on some TVs and PS3 as well. You just have to do a little more manual setup to sync them but after that you can send videos to the YouTube app on your TV or whatever device.

You might check for new TV firmware or driver to support the function.
