Then I asked for a source. You sent this:Over the past year and a half, iOS has increased about 10%. Android has taken some of that hit.
Your source is covering a 3 month period (one quarter), not an 18 month period (year and a half). This is exactly why I always ask for sources. This is directly from your link:
The latest smartphone market share numbers from comScore were published on Tuesday, and while Android is still the dominant mobile platform in the United States, it lost a bit of share to iOS during the three-month period that ended in Dec. 2013.

As shown in your link, Android was already at 51.8% at the time as well. So whatever gains iOS made were obvious not coming from Android. Your sources are still not supporting your claim of a 10% gain for iOS at the expense of Android. As shown, iOS was in the 30's at that time.
Ya know, I still wonder why, if apple products are better, that they keep suing samsung because people may confuse the note sgs3 with the iphone 4 for example. I mean if they are so much better, people should be able to see the diffrence straight away right?

If you are buying a tool and it costs more than the competition but does less, it's worse.Apple products (iGadgets here) are not better or worse, they're just different. Many here disagree and so the discussion remains never-ending.
No, not necessarily. Because many people are not aware of the things the competing product can do. What they will see right away is the pretty shiney.Ya know, I still wonder why, if apple products are better, that they keep suing samsung because people may confuse the note sgs3 with the iphone 4 for example. The additional expense only makes sense if you are also using it as a fashion accessory.

Marketing is one areas where Apple is far ahead of everyone else.
Samsung is ahead of everyone else in marketing.
If they were far ahead they would be outselling the iPhone by a wide margin...Apple is still the best selling phone in the US despite the fact that it only does half as much as the Samsung phone and costs the same. That takes great marketing.Samsung is ahead of everyone else in marketing.
Are there capabilities the same? Why does a smaller Acura TSX cost more than a larger Ford Taurus?
Are there capabilities the same?
If so, then it isn't analogous to this. Because Android can do a lot more than iOS can.
So you are saying the only reason to buy an Acura over a Taurus is looks? No, the Taurus offers more space than the TSX so some would say it's more capable.

I left the iPhone 4 for my Galaxy S4 and I always think of going back. I keep a close eye on what Apple does and I think, why did I ever switch to Android? Everything Apple does is tightly put together. All the apps flow together, you don't have a messaging app that looks completely out of place or a browser that does not flow along with the rest of the OS. As most of you know iOS 7.1 dropped today so I scurried to get my iPhone4. Downloaded and installed the new OS.......now I know why I left Apple. So locked down with no options. Makes me appreciate Android and my S4 that much more. I had it in my mind for sure I was going to update to the 5s next month, now I'm not so sure. Apple makes a great device but I don't think I could go back to an iPhone. Samsung has quite a bit of work to do but the S4 is still a great phone. I just wish they would trim up Touchwiz a bit (knock about 3GB off would be nice), make it quicker, and desing the core apps to flow together as far as theme goes. All the core apps (phone, settings, messages) look completely different with different colors. It is still a sloppy mess in my eyes but I guess thats the trade-off, you can't have your cake and eat it too.
Why did you get an S4 if you don`t necessarily like everything about it?
