I got an Android, but want to go back to the iPhone. Why is this?

You made this claim:
Over the past year and a half, iOS has increased about 10%. Android has taken some of that hit.
Then I asked for a source. You sent this:
Your source is covering a 3 month period (one quarter), not an 18 month period (year and a half). This is exactly why I always ask for sources. This is directly from your link:

The latest smartphone market share numbers from comScore were published on Tuesday, and while Android is still the dominant mobile platform in the United States, it lost a bit of share to iOS during the three-month period that ended in Dec. 2013.

iOS Chews Away At Android Market Share in U.S. | TechnoBuffalo

Apple managed to chew away marketshare during the 3 months of the year when they are strongest. If only they got similar numbers the other 3 quarters eh?

As shown, iOS was in the 30's at that time.
As shown in your link, Android was already at 51.8% at the time as well. So whatever gains iOS made were obvious not coming from Android. Your sources are still not supporting your claim of a 10% gain for iOS at the expense of Android.

Ya know, I still wonder why, if apple products are better, that they keep suing samsung because people may confuse the note sgs3 with the iphone 4 for example. I mean if they are so much better, people should be able to see the diffrence straight away right?

Apple products (iGadgets here) are not better or worse, they're just different. Many here disagree and so the discussion remains never-ending.

If you are buying a tool and it costs more than the competition but does less, it's worse.

The additional expense only makes sense if you are also using it as a fashion accessory.

No, not necessarily. Because many people are not aware of the things the competing product can do. What they will see right away is the pretty shiney.

Marketing is one areas where Apple is far ahead of everyone else.

Samsung is ahead of everyone else in marketing.

Samsung is ahead of everyone else in marketing.
If they were far ahead they would be outselling the iPhone by a wide margin...Apple is still the best selling phone in the US despite the fact that it only does half as much as the Samsung phone and costs the same. That takes great marketing.

Why does a smaller Acura TSX cost more than a larger Ford Taurus? They both can get you from point A to point B and the Ford Taurus may even have more passenger space. For some it's simple, they'd buy the Taurus. Yet I see a lot of TSXes out there. People have their prefs.

Are there capabilities the same?

If so, then it isn't analogous to this. Because Android can do a lot more than iOS can.

No, the Taurus offers more space than the TSX so some would say it's more capable.

So you are saying the only reason to buy an Acura over a Taurus is looks?

Many prefer how the TSX drives or an interior that seems higher quality or because they feel Acura is a better brand. I believe the TSX is more expensive because it is seen as more "luxurious"...a more "premium" product. I certainly prefer its styling, interior, and the way it drives...but those are subjective. There is that something about Japanese engineering that has lead some to believe the TSX would be the better product due to its heritage...but that's subjective as well.

I left the iPhone 4 for my Galaxy S4 and I always think of going back. I keep a close eye on what Apple does and I think, why did I ever switch to Android? Everything Apple does is tightly put together. All the apps flow together, you don't have a messaging app that looks completely out of place or a browser that does not flow along with the rest of the OS. As most of you know iOS 7.1 dropped today so I scurried to get my iPhone4. Downloaded and installed the new OS.......now I know why I left Apple. So locked down with no options. Makes me appreciate Android and my S4 that much more. I had it in my mind for sure I was going to update to the 5s next month, now I'm not so sure. Apple makes a great device but I don't think I could go back to an iPhone. Samsung has quite a bit of work to do but the S4 is still a great phone. I just wish they would trim up Touchwiz a bit (knock about 3GB off would be nice), make it quicker, and desing the core apps to flow together as far as theme goes. All the core apps (phone, settings, messages) look completely different with different colors. It is still a sloppy mess in my eyes but I guess thats the trade-off, you can't have your cake and eat it too.

Apple has better word of mouth than Samsung. People still have that mindshare thing where iPhone is more premium than other devices and people tend to get what others get as well.

Why did you get an S4 if you don`t necessarily like everything about it?

There are things I don't like about every phone out there but the S4 pro's out weighed the cons which is something I couldn't say about other phones. It was a really close race between the S4 and the HTC One. I've had a few HTC phones before and figured I'd go with the Samsung this time around. Smart Stay, WatchOn, and Air View are things I use quite frequently and I'm glad I went with the S4. Sure things could be better and you could say that about every device out there but the S4 had some features other phones didn't so thats what I went with. It just needs some small tweaks from Sammy to make it better. Will I go back to the iPhone? Maybe. Will I jump to another android device? Maybe. For now though I'm staying put and waiting on KitKat.
