I got an unsolicited cancellation of my Evo LTE tonight......

So, I got an email from Sprint tonight that reads:


Your order has been cancelled.

Your recent Sprint order has been cancelled. Below are important details for your records.

Our goal is to provide you with the highest level of service possible. If you believe this order has been cancelled by mistake, please let us know.

I did not request this cancellation at any point. Did anyone else have this happen?

First question is did you cancel but you said you didn't . Second unless they made some kind of announcement I doubt they would cancel your order. I call bs
 
I assure you I'm not BS'ing. I hadn't seen anyone else mention it so I guess it's an error. I'll call them in the morning to see if I can get it straightened out.
 
So, some jackhole at Sprint keyed in a number wrong and canceled my order. I just spent an hour on the phone with Sprint with no resolution.

There's no way to reactivate my preorder and the phone is not available for regular orders. The only thing they were able to offer me was a 90 dollar credit which would renew my contract, lol.

I'm seriously thinking of looking at other carriers today but the Evo LTE is really the phone I want......
 
This is very typical of Sprint service, they have have way of bungling things and then try and make up for it.

Yeah, but they're not even trying to make up for it. They basically told me I was SOL.......

settle down, youll be able to walk into a Sprint store and pick one up most likely the same day that you would have received it in the mail
 
I received a delay confirmation from BB blaming Sprint and when I tried to follow the "check your order status" @ BB my order has completely disappeard. My bad if this has already been posted I'm a newbee on my only 1st Droid device a Gtab and anxiously waiting for my first "smart phone" !

I hope you're right and you probably are. I'm just frustrated because I took the time and effort to preorder and then had the order canceled through no fault of my own.

I'm also perturbed at how unhelpful Sprint was after 6 years of being a loyal customer.
 
I would just go to Best Buy and preorder. They are still taking preorders. If you decide you want something else, you can just use the gift card they give you for the preorder to get something else.

Grab the phone in store on launch day, then call CS to accept the $90 credit.
 
I would be so ticked if this happened to me, I'm surprised you didn't fight it all the way to the top.

Go to Verizon or At&t, get off of sprint as soon as you can, At&t has a one x and verizon should be getting a version of the one x, Sprints network was horrible last time I had them, and they are selling an lte phone without a lte network which makes me laugh

Yeah, I was pretty pissed. I took it as high as I could on a Saturday. All of the higher ups had the day off so I'm supposed to be getting a call tomorrow or Tuesday.

I know that it's silly to be pissed over something as inconsequential as this. "First World Problems" and all of that......but still I did go to the trouble to preorder and I shouldn't be punished for a mistake on their part.

I considered it but 16GB with no SD slot is a deal breaker for me. Also the dedicated camera button is nice and a KICKSTAND. Come on now.......

Yeah I have the thunderbolt and the kickstand is nice. If you're happy with sprint stay, but I'm sure if a Verizon version of the one x is made it will be as good as the evo 4g lte

Didn't Verizon say publicly that they will not get a version of the One X?
