You're missing out on the mobile broadband.I use it all the time...especially when I go to my office for work. It's really awesome and am looking forward to using LTE once it's available in my area. My first taste of LTE on both the Bionic and the Xoom will likely be in December when I travel.
I have the Bionic and I am curious to see what happens if I pull the 4G sim card out of the Bionic and stick it in the Xoom. I'm hoping that it connects right up. The Bionic works with the 4G sim card removed because the 3G radio is separate. That's why the Bionic can surf the web and make calls at the same time. We'll see. If it doesn't work, then I will probably add the 4G wifi hotspot.

That's a really interesting idea. Aren't the SIM cards paired with the hardware though?

Getting closer.Still no tracking info but hey, this is good!
Mine is the same, but not RMA process yet :'( My upgrade has been delayed the whole time.
You guys who had your upgrade delayed...were your Xooms rooted? Locked or unlocked bootloader? Did you do the master reset? I just wonder if they are having problems with some?
Nope. I did the encryption and didn't reset it, but, never rooted or unlocked the bootloader. Was waiting for it to get upgraded before I go that route.
I was going to encrypt, but then I read that encryption could not be undone except by doing a factory reset, and my experience with encryption is that it really slows things down, so I would have done a factory reset to decrypt anyway.
Maybe the holdup is the fact that you encrypted the tablet. How would they install the software for the new hardware in the device if the tablet was encrypted?
I reset mine and turned it off and shipped it. There is nothing on there that I really cared about anyway, and it was starting to run a little sluggish anyway.
If there's software that needs to be done that they couldn't do because of the encryption, maybe it'll get pushed OTA as an update when I first turn it on? Just a thought.
I was thinking this as I was typing my comment. I'm sure that the device requires drivers, and I was not sure if the drivers could be installed while the tablet was encrypted, but I did think they may push a software update for the new hardware.
I am very curious about the return shipment weighing 4 lbs though. Maybe the dock is included!
