I have been outside and it seemed fine to me. However it was not in direct sunlight. I live in the uk so sunlight isn't that common lol. I'll post back tomorrow if it's sunny. I'll try it out.

Guys, I'm in California and we've had tons of sun lately. This phone is easily usable in sunlight. Better than my s4 and s4. As good or better than my friends note 3 (haven't compared side by side yet, will do soon)

Pre ordered mine with Sony around a month ago, I've had a text today telling me it's available tomorrow.. Then the store rang me and said it's officially released on the 1st May with O2.
I'm hoping for the Z tablet at ?99, and from what I've heard I don't think many of the earlier pre orderers will miss out as the stores are getting very limited stocks of the phone and the Z tablet is only available to order after you've had your phone 28 days.

Received my elegant Xperia Z2 yesterday and I'm well excited. I also received Sony smartband and a glass screenprotector from Dial-a-phone!
Been playing with it yesterday but just waiting for my number to be ported over and waiting for the case to arrive before I can start using it properly.

I got mine yesterday from phones 4 u, didn't get the speaker though lol I did however get a 9H Tampered screen protector.

The phone is amazing, feels good in the hand, that premium feel, bit more weight than the Nexus 5 & Note 3 but I'm cool with that .

Had a quick look at the camera yesterday, will take a few snaps today to explore the features.

The noise cancelling headphones are great and work very well.

The front facing speakers are clear and crisp (not loud) but leaps and bounds above Samsung and others.

Overall a brilliant phone, I'm very happy with it

You will be loving it for sure. Just before reading your message I was messing around with background defocus lol. The key to making defocus work is no movement. It's hit and miss because the subject sometimes moves slightly or the camera does. If the camera was in a tripod and the subject was still it takes some good shots.

Most pro photographers use tri-pods and various other gear, filters, lenses, etc. So by doing a half decent job, I think the Z2 is doing well.

I found you don't get that problem in the bottom left if you shoot I portrait or maybe 4.3 aspect ratio. It is hit and miss.

Will give it a go in portrait, but its still impressive and takes nice pictures regardless. I'm more than happy with the Z2.

Yeah that's right I didn't get the speakers but to be honest I'm not a huge fan of music so didn't mind that at all. In fact I was glad to see them offering wristband plus extra wristband straps. On top I got ?100 cashback through a work scheme so it has worked out a really good deal for me. I couldn't be happier!
Started using the wristband last night. For me the only good features so far are the alarm wakeup and even better wristband starts vibrating when its going out of coverage from you phone. This would help a lot of people not to forget their phones.
