I got rid of my status bar clock on Android P

I can get rid of time icon using QuickShortcutMaker,
but as soon as I do anything with the phone it returns.

Just curious why someone would want to do this. When you're in an app and want to know what time it is now you'd have to go to your homescreen, right?

My guess - people here do things as a means of learning about the system - OR - just to mess around.

This app bypasses need for nova

I use to remove the time from the status bar and the whole bar is hidden on my home screens (Nova). The rare occasions when I need to check the time while using an app I just swipe down the status bar and there it is :)

it's true that quickshortcut doesn't work well to remove the clock. mine also simply returns, mine seems to return when you add or remove other icons, like turning do not disturb on and off causes the clock to come back.

Yeah, with Nova you can remove the status bar but only on your home screens, when you open an app it will be still there.

️, It's really distracting, seeing all these icons that I need to handle, there should be an option to have a single icon as an indicator for notifs just like how Windows Phone did...
