You want something to be mad about, be mad that this commercial came out. They think fine print excuses them from outright lying about the capabilities of the phone. Now THAT grinds my gears...and I own the 512g version!

@52 seconds, that's when the biggest lie starts

Wow Samsung has some big ones putting out a commercial like that. Im curious to see if they improve the 100x with a software update. If its even possible.

This is my point about the marketing. Samsung are blatantly pushing space zoom almost like its the main feature when almost everyone agrees its almost pointless and the photos at 100x zoom are virtually un-useable. How are they getting away with it? I genuinely believe that some people will see ads like this and be amazed by the zoom that it will be enough to make them purchase the device.

Wow Sʌᴍsᴜɴɢ has so much gall to blatantly lie like this. That photo they “zoomed” in on the guy looks hella clear and like they took it right by him. What freaking false advertising.

I'd like to see a few of those. Please post them.

I second that. Here's the "moon" on a clear night using a tripod and 100x zoom. Honestly, it's a bit of a joke how that element of the phone is played up. Calling it a gimmick or party trick is absolutely spot on.

I don't know why Samsung even did 100 zoom, or why anyone would buy it for the 100 zoom. 100 zoom for a cell phone was a gimmick idea from the start and everyone buying it should have expected subpar results, it's a phone after all. I do know everyone had 14 days to return it, so if someone did buy it for the 100 zoom, they had plenty of time to return it since it was indeed a gimmick, which Samsung has had several gimmicks in the past to sell phones.. Remember how they pushed 3D scanning on the note 10, how useful is that?

It's because Xiaomi came out with the first 108mp phone with Samsungs sensor. which got top marks from DXOMARK, and they are playing the mp game and just 108mp to match wasn't enough.

If they could make 100x zoom look like the advertisement on the web (and tons of people, like myself, don't read tiny print saying it's not real and get suckered in)... if they could make 100x zoom look like it's almost optical, it would be worth $1400... no argument.

I had mentioned in other posts this is gimmick and hoping they change the camera in the Note 20... I said 30x zoom max with 10x optical. Some said not possible or likely but look what a $1400 phone looks like in reality... The Huawei P40 Pro Plus...

10x Leica tuned Optical Zoom! These guys I think came up with the first periscope lensed camera... and now they took it to the next level with adjusting periscope mirrors internally and they pack it in a ceramic back panel... ceramic!!... that's $1400. Too bad no Google!!

Samsung need to make a correction on the camera for the Note 20. It probably most certainly on the S21. They need to get Nikon to tune their cameras and slap on their name on it to compete with Leica.

I dont understand what happened after Sprints latest update for April.
The 5G on my phone is completely gone. its been 2 weeks and Sprint has no explanation.
I dont know if T-mobile acquiring Sprint impacted my 5G. This is horrible and not acceptable.

Phone doesn't refocus using 60fps at FHD video without tapping screen, regardless of stabilization setting.

Using 60 fps at UHD doesn't have this problem and neither does using 30 fps.

I actually have the issue at 60 fps regardless or resolution.

I don't have the issue with 30 fps.

Wonder if Estabancam and regor60 are both using Snapdragons or Exynos or each on different processors and maybe that's why the difference. Both Ultras correct?

I don't have the issue with 30 fps.
