Maybe most owners won't even notice it because they won't be doing side by side comparisons... like when there use to be arguments back in the S8 days of whose screen has more red tint than other S8s out of the box. But watching OnePlus videos recently where they use the Ultra for comparisons, you really do see after all the updates the focus hunting is still noticeable. Really hoping they keep pushing updates to sort out before the Note 20 comes out.

I actually have the issue at 60 fps regardless or resolution.

I don't have the issue with 30 fps.

I've owned pro body cams/lens. They rocked.
Never thought of a smart phone as a substitute and still don't.

The fact they do as well as they do is amazing especially with their limited optics.
Be careful that settings are correct and play with it, carefully watch what it's doing and it's limits.
I can grab great shots with a crappy camera.

Be mindful of apks you disable, lol I disabled many on my Note 10+ *
Especially Bixby. However some of the bixby apks are integrated into the cam's operation especially focus and metering I believe. Their sole purpose is cam functionality; they need to be enable or your pics/ cam performance will suffer.
Be aware other Android system apks may also be essential even if you can't spot the dependency(s). Opps.

Sorry, no road map yet I'm still playing with this end of it.

*It's a damn fast, bat friendly Android now...

New update that came out today for TMobile locked variant fixed the video focus issues I had from previous update.

That is good news. Back to 60fps 4k

I got the update a couple of days ago on my S20+. Have been usng another phone but finally got to test it today and it is still not good and the same issues with moving subjects and anything other than great light remain.

Here are a couple of my cat today taken a second or 2 apart, one looks to be back focussed, the other is just mushy throughout. He was not moving and whilst it was indoors the light was ok.

For comparison, the 3rd image was taken before I got the April update, equally as bad! Quite frankly it's a mess all round.

Yeah I seem to have those issues as well.

Well, at least this teaches us that Samsung does not have the camera chops matured. This is their sensor and their own internal camera design, and I think we can say with some confidence that it is not as good as their lower S20 and S20+ counterparts.

Side note: where did you get that TV stand, it looks awesome lol

I have the plus not the ultra. It is their processing for sure, they just don’t get it.

TV cabinet is an alphason chromium. Glass front was to keep previously mentioned cat from sitting in there on top of the boxes!
