I got the update!

That may be true, but Verizon didn't say they giving a tabbed app drawer. They said a tabbed App Menu. Go to Manage Applications. Not sure that it wasn't tabbed before as I rarely ever went in there.

Not working for me.

Menu > Settings > Software Update > Check new

Then I get the message:
Software Update
Checking for new Software available now.​
Then I wait and get a new message:
Error
SERVICE UNAVAILABLE
Check for Software Update under Settings when service is available​

That's what I was getting last night until it finally came - keep trying.

Hah, at least you get an error message. I'd settle for that, over just having the "Checking for new software available now" box disappearing without any kind of information as to why or whether or not it found new software.

I got my up date today.It took about 6 or 7 trys to get it so you have to keep trying .It will come:)

I'm not sure that it wasn't tabbed before either....Oh well, neither one (drawer or menu) is a big deal to me anyway.

It was tabbed like that prior to the update. I have yet to find what was updated. I assumed it was the app drawer like most people.
 
:mad:grr cant upload videos to facebook no more since update not with the facebook app or sense its starts but never gets done. Its gives you a % but then it goes to 0%
 
None of the apps I had on my sd card is showing up anymore after the update, this is not good

Edit: Can read the apps on my sd card but only after I had to force stop Sense, very weird, hope I don't have to do this everytime I restart my phone

Mine just restarted after downloading update...No clouds when the thunder sounds....thunder bolt just stays on the screen for a minute or so...
 
I have been trying to DL the update on my mom's Thunderbolt, but not having success. I am going to the software screen, hitting check new, the dialog box appears that says checking for new updates, there appears to be data transfer but then the box goes away. My Thunderbolt, found the update first try.

She is running 1.12.605.6 software currently.

I am having the same issue with my TB. It says checking then goes away. Last night it would stay on that screen forever then say service unvailable check again when service is available. I thought it might be network traffic overload. Seem they could send you a message saying that though if it was the case...

Try downloading the OTA update after setting your phone to 1X...perhaps a problem with 3G/4G

Same problem here, New York City. Tried switching to 1x via this thread. Still nothing. Tried WiFi, nothing...
