I am in the San Francisco bay area and received the update. I do have a question, I followed the instructions and long pressed the screen, clicked on widgets, data usage. My question is, how long does it take for the data usage to connect?

Yes I actually turned Hotspot on and it worked just like before. Nothing appeared about subscribing and paying for the service. The screen for the battery reminder appeared and the screen with instructions appeared for connecting through my laptop. I just tried it again to confirm.

I'm not gonna take the chance right now. Seems a mixed bag at the moment with it killing some and not others.

click the widget. you have to log in to the app with your vzw account info.

Sad thing is, someone posted in this topic earlier that they got it, and they live in the same city I do. So, I can't imagine my location is causing my phone to keep killing the update box. What the heck is going on?

Yes it is still free for some, which is why i don't want to install this OTA. It seems this OTA is the free MHS killer.

Ahhh, I believe I am not going to update. I have been using the free hotspot with my Asus Transformer and would like to enjoy it as long as I can.

I like using it at the hotel when i'm on the road in 4G territory. As fast as my cable modem at home. I also like that it's password protected. Other than an occasional weekly reboot i am happy with my phone on MR1. I'm passing on the update for now.

Well I was on BAMF Sense 3.0 RC4 but still having rebooting issues when 4G was on I have gone back to the stock ROM and flashed the leaked version of this update from the SD card. So far so good BUT even though I am in a 4G area it does not seem to be grabbing (or at least displaying) the LTE signal.
