I got the update!

I think the update broke my GPS...

Before the update, it took it about 10 seconds to lock on to my position, now it randomly hops around in about 2 square miles.

So I went back and pressed check for updates and that seemed to do the trick. It rebooted and it did the rest.

Just curious, but did you guys get a notification that the download was ready or did you just check for it and it was there? I've checked and it doesn't show up, but then again, the first OTA never showed up either (which was probably for the best). Thanks.

Ugh, it never allowed me to re-download. It's stuck in a reboot loop. When it boots up it detects the update file is on the SD card so it shuts down to install it. Install fails and asks me to reboot or wipe my entire SD card, wtf!

I read on the forums that someone saw the update, so I checked for updates, and after about a minute of checking it said there was one ready to download.

hmm....i finished downloading but it hasn't rebooted to begin the installation...

Updated... almost none of the things promised are actually there. No tabbed app menu, no cradle app... I'm not too sure if it actually did anything, but the MyVerizon app IS there so that's something.

Yup, it will say "You need to subscribe to mobile hotspot for $30/month"

And then you can check a box, then hit next, and I assume it lets you subscribe from your phone. I didn't go further because I'd rather use Easy Tether for free...

Yall have too go back and check for updates a second time. Then it will display a software box. Then go into reboot and that takes about 5 mins or so

They also added the data used widget. Even if you have unlimited, it will tell you how much data you have used this month.

I just installed the update and my Hotspot still works. Nothing popped up that suggested I need to subscribe.

Did you actually turn the hotspot on? You can open up the app, change the connection settings, etc without paying for hotspot, put if you turn hotspot on, it prompts you to purchase it for $30/month

Hmmmmmm....free MHS or bloatware......really people....I'll take the update after they force kill my MHS. Never had a reboot issue.
