I just upgraded from s5 and an EXTREMELY.DISAPPOINTED.... 1. Because of the "BLUETOOTH version 5", i cant pair with car stereo.... I hate that no apps are transferred, just data... I hate the screen, pretty much evdrything..

UNLESS I READ about a complete miracle with the design etc I am going back-to my Galaxy S5

Mine pairs with my non stock Bluetooth car stereo. What car and stereo system do you have

So the moral of the story is that the S5 is better then the S8 ? Hmmm imma stick with my amazing S8! Best phone i have ever owned!!

Welcome.

What vehicle do you have? There may be an update from the dealer to fix the connection.

Also, apps never transfer to a new device. They have to be re-downloaded each time. Annoying, but true.

Mav.

the s5 was the worst galaxy phone I had being that it looks and feels cheap, for one, and two, the battery life was horrible and it lagged like crazy. I am loving my S8+ best Galaxy phone I've had a part from the S7 Edge. Besides, the screen on the S8 is a million times better than the S5, but it's all dependent on user preference. If you don't like something, that's fine. No reason to knock down something that pretty much the majority of this forum likes lol

But, have fun with the S5. I couldn't wait to get rid of mine lol

I'm sorry that you do not like your phone! If you continue to feel like it's not for you, return it before your return window expires and see if there is another phone that you might like better. :)

Bluetooth issues are a real concern. The connection to almost everything is poor and unstable. I'm waiting for the alleged update to fix this, as it appears that it has started rolling out in some parts of the world.

I still call the gold version of this the bandaid edition because of mkbhd's review XD
No bluetooth issue here i use a speaker and wireless headphones with it.

Not having any issues in my Ford Sync 3 system or any other bluetooth devices I use such as speakers, headphones. It also works great in my daughters Jeep Compass and that stereo is trash. The Bluetooth audio sounds slightly better in my car than my G6 does. Very minimal but defintely a bit louder and clearer.

2014 Silverado my link connects bluetooth just fine. Unfortunately it does not connect through the usb ports. The galaxy s8 sure is nice. I love mine.

I've had no problems at all with connecting my S8+ phone to any bluetooth device I own. I really like this phone, just wish I could have held out for the Note 8 but my trusty Note 4 started going all wonky on me and I only have a cell phone as my only phone.

Bluetooth with my 2009 Ford Edge works perfectly. Haven't had any issues since I got the phone. Same with connectivity with my Asus ZenWatch 3.

That is a problem with your car, not the phone, new phones have a newer version of Bluetooth that is much better. Draws less power and has improved range. Other older Bluetooth devices work just fine for people.

You still have all your apps, a proper Google backup or use of Samsung's Smartswitch would have moved them, and the data for most of them. Otherwise they are all still in the Playstore under "my apps" and can easily be downloaded.

The screen is much better, don't know what's to hate, unless you don't like the edge display or new aspect ratio. Did you not look at the phone before purchasing it? Didn't bother to pick up a demo unit and play around with it?

I mean no offense but it sounds like this is the first time you've changed phones and you didn't bother to look at what you were buying. Just blindly bought the newer version of what you had.
