I have a Galaxy A3, I am trying to get Google Assistant to select MY music

I am trying to use voice control to open my own downloaded playlists (music playlists stored on my phone) They are stored in an app that just says "Music". Is this possible ? It keeps taking me to YT or Spotify. (I am a newbie to Google Assistant)

Have you tried saying play play list? Should give option you have on the phone.

Yes...If I do that it just takes me to YT. Perhaps there is a better voice app that would work. My playlists are in folders on the pre installed "Music App".

Welcome to Android Central! Google Assistant only works with apps like YouTube Music and Spotify -- you can't use it for with basic media players like the one in the Files app. Try uploading your playlist to your YouTube Music account: https://support.google.com/youtubemusic/answer/9716522?hl=en.
