I have a Galaxy S6 and S6 edge, you have questions — ask me!

In ten days I'm upgrading my phone and I have narrowed down my search to the S6 and the iPhone 6. As much as the rest of my family, who is on the Android platform, would love for me to get the S6, I am concerned about how my investment in a MacBook Pro and Powerbeats 2 Wireless earphones will affect how they work with it (Family vs. Ecosystem).

I'm reaching out to Android Central to find out if anyone has had success in using either item with their S6. It is my hope that the answers will go a long way towards helping me with my final decision.

I am not too happy about returning the Edge and keeping the S6, but I am getting ready to do just that...I purchased both and have a case and a tempered glass screen protector on the S6. I have a case for the Edge, but no glass screen protector. Do you feel it's better to keep the S6 or the Edge if I put a PET film ZAGG screen protector on it? I do like the Edge more, it's stunning, but I really don't like the PET film....

1. When you do your full review can you take some pictures of moving objects instead of only the still object shots? I don't know if you have kids but, if not, can you borrow a toddler from someone and try to take some photos of him/her doing something like going down a slide and see if it can produce clear photos unlike other phones?

2. Have you noticed the Auto-HDR mode working or being effective?

3. Does the glass over the camera lens seem tough and scratch resistant? Do you know if it's sapphire glass?

4. When recording video, can you touch the screen to snap a photo? Is it a quality photo? How does the audio sound in the playback of the video (my nexus 5 produces distorted audio in busy environments).

5. How is Google Now incorporated? Does the Google launcher need to be installed to use Google Now? Does "OK, Google" work from anywhere in the OS as long as the screen is on?

6. Since the phone has fairly flat edges, can you stand it up on it's side on a desk when in landscape mode, or will a kickstand case be necessary to do this? I know this one is a longshot...

I finally took my phone in to the VZW store, I thought my fingerprint sensor was broken. Turns out I have "lousy fingerprints" and it won't recognize my fingers. We finally got it to work but by then, I was nervous I'd always be struggling to get into my phone, so I gave up. Just make sure you have good prints! Perhaps my future should be in crime

How is the fingerprint sensor? How many fingerprints can it store? Does it actually work or is it just a gimmick like on the note?

I have a question, not sure if this was discussed already, but can you use multi-window while on the phone... Let's say I'm talking on the phone and wanted to open another app how would I do that? thanks in advance

Sure, it's very easy. When you're on a call and you want to access another app, say your calendar, you simply hit the "Home" button and then click on the app you want to open. You will still be on the call and you can still exchange with the person on the other end, all while accessing your other app. If you want to get back to the Phone screen, simply click on the button to the left of the Home button and all the apps currently open, will show and are selectable.

I am connecting my S6 to Mac but the phone does not shows any USB options but only charges the phone. Android File Transfer also doesn't recognises the phone. I am using the original cable, have factory reseted many times and also wiped cache partition. What could be wrong? Software issue or hardware issue? Please any tips...Thanks.

I bought an unlocked phone Galaxy S6 from Verizon and bought a prepaid card. Everything worked fine. Then, I was going to BYOP with Straight Talk. I took out the nano sim card (Verizon) and installed the nano sim card from Straight Talk. It was one day past my prepaid card month and although Verizon said my phone number would be good with them for 90 days, Straight Talk said I had to have an "active" account for Verizon to release my phone number. Sooooooo...back to Verizon, reinstalled Verizon nano sim card and got a month of prepaid service. However, initially the salesperson sold me a $45 card without telling me that it only had a 1 gig amount of data. (I know, I should've asked), so I said change it to the $60 with 2.5 gigs. Well, then she got on the phone with someone and said she was making sure that I got the new amount of data available. Well, I get out to my car and I didn't have any internet availability. What!!! Go back into the store and I have no 4G connectivity. They call technical support and someone there says that when I installed the nano sim card from Straight Talk that it changed the software settings and not only will the internet not work but my phone could completely die at any moment!! What!!! Now, when I am at home, my phone connects with our wi-fi, but no 4G elsewhere. HELP, PLEASE!!

I've found that if I'm sending a long message it seems to send as an mms and therfore I'm getting charged for this..is there any way to resolve this issue?

Hi Andrew!

With older Galaxy S phones there used to be a way to grab a still from a video after you shot it. That appears to be gone on the S6, even though there's a way to grab a still from a video during recording. This seems silly. Do you know if there is a way to grab a still from a video after it was recorded on the S6?

Hi just got an S6 at AT&T store, and i wanted to wait to set up. She let me leave store without installing SIM Card. Whats the best start for me? I think i should charge it. Several posts i seem to recall mentioning booting up the 1st time without the SIM Card. Should I do this? Any advantage, or no? I was real leary about trading in my iPhone 5S but it's done now. Just want to give myself the best chance to start using this most wisely. Few things I notice, I asked about a sealed box and was told only Apple seals their devices. Any thoughts about the AT&T 5.1.1 update and when we may get it? Thanks for reading.
