I have a Nexus 4, you have questions. Fire away.

Sweet! I have like 5 touchstone bases around the house for my old Pre. Better buy them while they are like $5...once the word is out, they will get real expensive fast!

Pretty sure the Touchstone chargers don't use Qi, as it was developed after Palm announced the Touchstone

good to know, thanks :) any other advice you can offer?
create a thread in this forum. tons of suggestions/info/help will come through.

pure android, full freedom, best processor, updated whenever google release new version of android with new features just like what you are seeing now.

I'm using a Blackberry Torch 9810 on Rogers in Canada. I've been thinking about switching to Android since the spring. Would you recommend this phone as my first Android? How much of an improvement will it be compared to my current phone?

I certainly would. You don't have to worry about carrier or OEM's getting in the way of your updates, and you can search for answers specific to questions about Android, because there is no bloated skin to contest with.

I have 2 questions. When will the review be posted? :-). And did you also receive nexus 10?

USB Drivers Phil, for the love of all things Holy please tell me LG have supplied nicely working Windows ADB Drivers. The Galaxy Nexus is an unholy mother to get working, please make this not so on the Nexus 4.

This is what I can contribute to this post.
I left Sprint and went with T-Mobile prepaid for a month. I enjoyed the service, but StraightTalk had slightly better prices, so I decided to give them a try.
I went with StraightTalk three months ago, and I've not regretted it. The very first month, I purposely had Wifi off 100% of the time to see if they would cut my access off or send me a warning message. They did not bother me at all. I'm using it on the AT&T network. I think prepaid is the way to go. NO MORE CONTRACTS!!

Thanks for your response.. Did you port your number over also and was it easy to do?

My phone runs of the AT&T's LTE network and the speeds are fine but when I disable LTE my 4G speed suck. Im not asking for a speed test but asking if the radios inside the Nexus 4 will be any faster than the ones in my iPhone 5.

I had my Galaxy Nexus ADB drivers working on Windows from day one!

Is there support for a microphone in the headphone jack? The Nexus 7 doesn't have this afaik, so I'm really wondering :)
It's a phone. I'd be really, really surprised if it didn't.

The N7 is not a phone.

Pop quiz tomorrow.

This was one big question for me. I want to get out of contracts. I am in Canada and have to typically deal with 3 year contracts which suck. This is a perfect option. Especially with my kids needing a device. If I get them this phone they can do all they need and I can still get them on a non data plan with wi-fi only without dealing with the contract garbage.
Please adopt me. :)
Is the loudspeaker loud?
Believe Phil answered earlier in the thread, yes it's friggin' loud.

How is the smoothness performance of the Chrome on the phone ?
Is it on par with iPhone 5 smoothness ?
Because Chrome on my Galaxy Nexus is sluggish. The stock is way smoother.

In Tampa, HTC One X, AT&T LTE.

Phil since I know you have had the One X riding in your pocket for a few months now ........

Talk about :

1) whether you think I as a phone speed nut will notice any slowdown from current phone to Nexus 4 (which I'm leaning towards getting)

2) screen compared to the One X

3) camera and video compared to the One X

4) battery life compared to the One X

Thanks sir, I'm a sucker for the latest Android version, but I'm also distrustful of LG after my G2X experience.

;)

sorry, didn't mean to be rude, but you've posted the exact same question about 5 times and most of the time it's just not something that can be answered without extended use, it's like giving an opinion on batterylife after 10 minutes.

All good but I just wanted to know if he might know right off back. Phil has spotted quality issues on devices as soon as he lays eyes on them. One example if this I already mentioned was thunderbolt so I just figure it was a reasonable question to ask because of Phil's experience.
