I have a Nexus 4, you have questions. Fire away.

Short answer : <rolls eyes> "ffs".
Long answer: yeah, he dropped it off his kitchen table. Any phone is susceptible to damage that way.

My precious sgs2 took many falls...it's still intact...but you know what...$350 is an easy price to pay compared to other unsubsidized phones. They can be replaced more easily and I'm sure the backs of these phones will have many replacements on eBay or the such.

Is the front and the back as heat as Galaxy S2,
the front of Gs2 is petty heat when using, and my finger cannot hold it long time

Is the heat like Gs2 or just as same as galaxy nexus?

and any update in the testing->phone information page? (*#*#4636#*#*)

short answer-G2 maked like a rock!
Long answer-Thats not saying much about gorilla gl-ass

I know it was a review unit but.... I generally throw gently place my phone in a case. I like a naked phone and all, but two glass panels make me want to keep it in a case all the more.
On a side note, i had a GS2. One of the days i decided not to use a case, dropped it from the waist, hit the corner on some linoleum tile and the screen spiderwebbed.

Every phone is subject to destruction. Some more than others.

I'm more curious if the phone being dropped was intentional...

yo phil,
Could it be that the screws at the bottom are there so that the back glass is user replaceable? Coz I could do that on my bro's iphone, and that would be awesome!!!

I remember ordering the NexusOne a couple of years ago at launch and it was so great when 2.3 was released, I didn't bother waiting for the OTA then.

I loved when I was able to turn my phone to a WiFi Hotspot. Can you do this with the the Nexus 4 like you could with the NexusOne from within Settings?

Should this phone have about the same battery life as an Evo 4g LTE from Sprint? The N4 has a bigger battery but I think HTC has modified its Sense OS (skin) to have pretty good battery life.

Also,

Does the front camera shoot HD videos?

and

Does it have Bluetooth 4?

These are issues the other reviewers have not talked about, I hope you cover it Phil

Take care

Does the build quality feel as good as some HTC phones like the One X? Does it feel plasicky or cheap like the Note 10.1? Overall, would you buy this phone?

Definitely not plasticy. The glass doesn't make it feel as gold as the iPhone 4 -- I think the lack of metal helps with that.

Hey Phil,

How's the radio/signal strength for the Nexus 4 vs the Galaxy Nexus or GSM Galaxy S III? Would it be possible to do a side by side comparison on the same network? It's been my experience that the radios used in Samsung phones generally get worse signal in comparison to a Motorola or HTC device. I have no idea what to expect from a LG phone.

Thanks in advance,

- Mitalis

I really hesitate with stuff like that. For one, it's entirely unscientific (especially if I do it). I'd recommend anything AnandTech has on the subject.

I heard some reports of the breaking glass in the back on some test nexus.

afaik, you heard one report.

I'm not gonna say the glass can't break -- it's glass. Don't drop it. As far as long-term durability, that takes time, and frankly it takes guinea pigs. Gonna have to wait and see what the macro level looks like once more phones are in the field.
