Hi

Are users experiencing WiFi issues with their gn4?
Mine finds, connects and can surf the net etc. However after 5-10 mins and when it is revived from sleep mode it won't connect to WiFi. I have WiFi settings as always connect to WiFi even when sleeping but still is an issue.

Does your advanced Wifi settings screen look like this?

Hi, i was wondering, using the stock Messaging app, is there a way to remove the number of texts that is listed after the contact's name? (number of texts you have sent back and forth)

Also, can the messaging app be modified to show the number of unread messages on the home page icon?

1) Remove #'s - Nope (not with the stock SMS App)
2) Display Badge Notifications - Yup but not with the stock Launcher. Here's how--> http://forums.androidcentral.com/showthread.php?t=199709

To achieve both you'll either need to change your SMS App or Launcher.
I personally recommend following the link I provided so you can get "Badge Notifications" (the Notification count) show up for virtually all your Apps on their respective icons.

I've had my nexus 4 a month now, a network upgrade came thru and now I've lost my ringtones and pictures,
Now when I take a new pic one of the old ones that disappeared reappears with evey new pic taken,
When I view it in the gallery the pic I have just taken shows up
I'm utterly baffeled!

how come the nexus 4 doesn't come with Notes/memo or voice recorder?
I went through the list of apps in settings and i do see the Sound Recorder but there is none on my apps shortcut? is there a way to bring it out to work

Hey Guys,

Just a quick question in regards to plugging in the nexus 4 to the charger or computer,
Do you guys get an alert sound to notify you the phone is charging or stopped charging when you pull the plug out? Mine remains silent when I put on charge and I'm sure it used to make a noise when I first got it.

I have t mobile prepaid on my nexus 4 ...playing in the network settings there was an option to use AT&Ts network... I was able to use AT&Ts network and make calls but It said it was roaming ...this being my first device with a Sim card ever I'd like some clarification on this option... Thanks

For me it is worth as much as you would pay for any other phone. So for example, if you would pay ?500 for a HTC One or a Samsung Galaxy S3 etc. Then yes it is well worth it. The phone is amazing and beautiful and ya we are running the latest OS. The touch screen is silky smooth and the phone is blistering fast. The only thing that is a bit weak is the camera.

It happens with both my nexus 4, nexus 7, and my photon, so I think it is completely normal.

Thanks, also one question about Google Play application updates, I have checked ''notify me about updates'' but google pre-installed applications like gmail, currents etc. had updates available but I saw them when I went to google play and my apps, no notifications.

And normal applications also dont notify me about updates, only when I clear data on in google play app settings then I get notification about update, why is that so?
