The onscreen buttons have been around for a year, the only phone i have seen since last year (other than the nexus devices) that do this is the new motorola razr HD.
once you use them, you will more than likely love the setup. doesn't hinder the use of the phone one bit and hids the bar when watching videos. I LOVE them on my Galaxy nexus.

i have no questions for you Phil other than "do you know why they put the lip around the flash?" seems a little silly to muck up such a beautiful backing with a seemingly un-necessary protrusion. i would actually prefer to see it around the camera to keep it from scratching the glass over the lense...but that is just me being a reasonable person

This is what I can contribute to this post.
I left Sprint and went with T-Mobile prepaid for a month. I enjoyed the service, but StraightTalk had slightly better prices, so I decided to give them a try.
I went with StraightTalk three months ago, and I've not regretted it. The very first month, I purposely had Wifi off 100% of the time to see if they would cut my access off or send me a warning message. They did not bother me at all. I'm using it on the AT&T network. I think prepaid is the way to go. NO MORE CONTRACTS!!

Ugh... the screenshot includes the buttons. I'm not sure I like where Android is headed with this new navigation setup. I wonder how other manufacturers will follow suit with this design language.

What's wrong with seeing the buttons in the screenshot? You can always crop it out if they bug you.

the specs state no, but so do the N10s specs and it is already confirmed that it does support 5GHz

so does the N4 offer the same capabilities as the Galaxy Nexus and any other modern phone today?

Many of the Sony phones that came out this year supports on-screen Nav keys as well.

Phil, there are leaks of the Gmail 4.2 apk. Can you confirm the Gmail on this is the one that was leaked? Any ideas if that version of Gmail will get pushed to the market so everyone can enjoy it or is it an JB only feature of Gmail?

See the above quote w/ the image. Screen shot shows dual-band support with auto switching or forced to a single band. This suggests dual-band a/b/g/n, despite the miss in specs on the Play store. Press kit also mentions dual-band.
