I have a Nexus 4, you have questions. Fire away.

Would it really be worth my $350 if it doesn't come LTE ready straight from Google?
Especially based on the fact that my carrier has good LTE coverage now.

It's not coming with LTE. Period. Maybe later, but not now. And I care about now.

Is it worth $350 unlocked, off contract? You'd better believe it.

can anybody please tell me , based on their experience,, how many months or years the default battery of such a super phone lasts, as it will not have replaceable battery , as i want to use it at least for 1 yr,

The battery will be fine for 1-2 years easily.

This was one big question for me. I want to get out of contracts. I am in Canada and have to typically deal with 3 year contracts which suck. This is a perfect option. Especially with my kids needing a device. If I get them this phone they can do all they need and I can still get them on a non data plan with wi-fi only without dealing with the contract garbage.

this video

According to this video, the phone had a charge of ~80% after ~6 hours. So if my math is correct, based on a linear calculation, that would be about 30 hours of battery life from 100% to 0%.

Of course, we don't know how the phone was used.

it doesnt matter. I recommend charging it full and use it until it goes low.

charge cycle is not calculated based on how you charge it before getting low.

so if you have 100% battery use 40%,then charge it full then use 60%. thats one cycle.

Correction, it does matter how depleted a lithium polymer/ ion battery gets. The lower you take the battery, the lower the number of cycles you will get.

An odd question: Anyone now if any retail store will be selling unlocked Nexus 4 by November 13th or just the Play Store?

what about it freezing up? any idea, without being able to take out the battery, about a reset or something when it gets locked up? probably too early to tell. wasn't sure if that question has come up yet, but its been bugging me. i'm still getting one. :)

What about heat? Both my HTC Desire and HTC Sensation XL got to the point where I'd pull the battery out of concern for my own safety. Whilst I know this is an issue that seems to plague HTC (What being an HTC user feels like).

How does the N4 cope when streaming stuff (especially over Mobile Data) or using Wi-Fi Hotspot?

so is there some sort of cut off point, or is it basically just better to try and keep them as well charged as possible at all times? there's technology in them to stop them over charging right? i drive a lot and generally just keep my phone plugged into the charger while i'm driving, will that reduce the battery life much?
ps, sorry to take the thread on a tangent, last question on this, i promise!

Quick ? Phil. Will this phone guarantee me multitudes of chicks on a regular basis? And is the vibrate feature strong? :p

Nope. GSM only, for now.
For now and forever. Google is done grappling with CDMA quirks. They were clear in saying that not even LTE requirements would cause them to waiver. They want one phone that works on any worldwide GSM network without fuss. I feel sorry for Verizon/Sprint people wanting a Nexus product. Not gonna happen.

hey Phil when you do this review can you make it so that its not so vague such as "heavy usage" and instead have real numbers like screen on time and brightness levels?
