Hi

I just got my Nexus 4 yesterday. My keyboard keeps inserting "smilies" when I'm typing. It's so frustrating! Have tried another keyboard, same problem. Doesn't matter what letter I type (it's not as if I'm hitting the ":-)" key at the bottom right of the keyboard), I can be typing anything & it'll keep doing it. Seems to be when I type "re" & "ke", then it'll insert a I typed the word this & got "this:-)"

Any ideas? Can't find anything in the settings to stop this & it's getting really really annoying!!!

Thanks

Can you tell me how to use the camera? I can't even get it to turn around from trying to take a picture of myself. Can you tell me how to make it go off self portrait?

Press the circle icon, then press the camera revolving icon on the top left.

Hi all,
This question is for people who have returned their nexus 4 to the Google Play Store. I know this may probably be the wrong thread, but I have looked almost everywhere and I couldn't find an answer. A lot of nexus owners are here so I decided to ask this question. So here it goes, I brought a nexus 4 8 GB and I have decided to return it back under the 15 day return program. The main reasons are storage and new rumors of an upgraded version of the nexus 4 but I will still stick with the nexus brand. I applied for a return and so far everything has gone smoothly. Here is a problem. When I unboxed the phone I took of the back plastic sheet or screen protector and according to the link (below) I have to include everything and send it back(Include all items from your original shipment, including devices, accessories, packaging and documentation) . So does this include that back sheet or not? If yes then Google will take 25% of what I actually paid for which will make it much more expensive for me to buy a new nexus. i don't have to worry about the restocking fee as I am in Europe. I have contacted Google Play Customer Service through Email and Telephone and even they don't the answer to it. Other than the removed sheet the phone is brand new with not a single scratch and I haven't touched a single accessory. So do you guys think that Google is going to charge me with 25% for no back sheet after inspecting the phone or will they just ignore it? If yes then I will just stick to this phone and if no then I will send this back. Any help will be appreciated.
Bad English and wrong place, I will go sit in the corner now and wait for the answer.
Thanks.

I would seriously doubt you would be charged for that sheet. I wouldn't sweat it.

Thanks for the reply. If they cost me then it's going to be ?60 cut from Google which means I will have to pay ?120 for 16 GB nexus. Do you guys think the upgraded version will cost around the same? e.g. 8 GB version being upgraded to 16 GB and the 16 GB version upgraded to 32 GB.
Thanks.

They are saying there is a upgrade. Not sure though.
