Hi, newbie here, I just bought a nexus 4 couple of days ago and started to use Google Now, but why there are only limited cards? Navigation, sports team, stocks and everything else, where are the other cards? I saw on youtube there are many choices of cards, and I just received a kit kat upgrade notification and did an upgrade, where is the pedometer? is this normal or what? Please help me since I'm newbie even on android, thanks guys

Google now cards only show up when you actually need them. If you are new to Google now, it will take some time for it to build up information on how you use it.

I updated my nexus 4 to 4.4...No rom or anything. No root. Just official release. SOMETHING IS MISSING...You know how the black bar above and below are supposed to go making the screen look bigger? yeah i still have that...under the hotkeys there is still the black thing....normal..and i didnt get the 4.4 wallpapers..Help!!

I bought it from a store unlocked. I live in Hong Kong and Google does not ship to here. Would I still need to register the warranty? It's been two weeks of using my Nexus already.

You are already 4.4, just load in the GEL launcher, How to is here http://forums.androidcentral.com/google-nexus-4/336909-google-experience-launcher-nexus-4-a.html That will get rid of your black bars !

Well , I have not received the OTA so far. Was wondering whether going to 4.4 would solve my battery drain and network problem issues. Since last couple of months I am facing a new issue. The network suddenly disappears when the battery is down to around 50-60%. This happens whenever I get a call or randomly. Then after some time the signal comes back. I have not rooted my phone and am on 4.3. Do suggest the remedies. Thanks.

Also the Call - Dialer interface is not working properly. When hitting IVR of any business calls and while dialing my login - in number; I can see my number flashed on my screen but the same is not received at the IVR. A problem could be that Android is missing the number in between. First I thought this could be a problem with IVR but then I tried 3 different IVRs and faced similar issue.

I have now upgraded to Android 4.4 but the issues are still the same.

Can anyone please guide me; as this is frustrating and causing nightmare .

Also if anyone can give me details of Android official so I can directly write to them.

Any help is appreciated...

you may want to consider doing a factory reset.

Hi

I've had a Nexus 4 for a while now, but have noticed that the the saved music files some of them probably never had any album art on it, now shows up in the stock player with random photos from my gallery. I have removed those pics from my gallery and still they show up as album art on certain mp3. Can anybody help? Its really frustrating so see my personal photos come up as album art when playing music. I've tried deleting data from apps->media storage and that hasnt helped now some other random pics from across different folders are being used as album art :s

Any help would be great.

I did not care for it, so I switched back to the messaging app. I no longer get a notification (no sound, no icon in status bar) even though I have checked the notifications box in the settings for the stock messaging app.

Not sure why that is happening. I use Textra as my default SMS app. When it's installed it prompts you to set your default preferences. You could try it. It's a great app. Plus if it you don't like it it my fix your settings back to default once it's deleted.
