I have a OnePlus One - ask me about it!

Have heard about a root program that improves sound quality. Just ordered my One and am looking to get any and all Android improvements. Have you ever rooted your One, and if so, What did you use to root & where did you get it?

Hi,

Bit of a dumb question for you really..
I bought a OnePlus One today (no plan to do that today just got told it was an exclusive phone and heat of the moment bought it) so I don't know much about it..
But my main question is if I set it up on one sim card then when I finally sort my iPhone out and get rid of it can I automatically put my iPhone sim (so the number I am keeping) into the OnePlus One or does it mess the account settings etc up?

Thanks in advance Hattie :)

What carrier do you have? If the sim card is the same size in both phones, you can certainly do that on a GSM carrier. :)

Ive had a OPO since August and I've always had touchscreen issues with mine. I'm stock and I've factory reset a few times, but I still get touchscreen issues such as multitouch and ghost swipes. I cant zoom in/out on a picture or a webpage. A reboot will temporarily fix this, but after a few hours it stops recognizing any multitouch input. I dont like having to restart my phone multiple times a day, and its really annoying when I want to brag about my phone and show it to someone, to only find that it doesn't work correctly. Ive had a few developers try and help me but that has had no effect, and OnePlus does not want to RMA my phone for a new one. I'm on the latest 38R update and I'm still having issues, so time for an upgrade.

My question is, should I get the Moto X or the Nexus 6? I came from a Nexus5 and a fan of the Nexus line. The Nexus 6 looks like its basically the same size as the OPO as demonstrated by Phil in last weeks podcast (ep. 209) when he held them up side-by-side, so the size isn't an issue for me. I'm worried about the camera and battery life of the Moto X.

Andrew (or anyone else), Im looking forward to any suggestions or opinions and which phone I should jump to. Thanks in advance.

I assume this will work with Lycamobile's US (GSM) network?

Did a search for Lyca and didn't find anything

It should because they use T-Mobile towers (I think). But they might not be able to provision it for LTE.

no LTE would be a dealbreaker wouln't it? whats speed(s) would I be limited to?
That I don't know. You should do some research maybe in hofo or someplace with active threads about lyca. They'd know more about getting LTE with a byop.

One negative I have found is inability to make wifi calls. Tmobile wont allow unsure of at&t.

No experience with it but will try it out. Any one else use hangouts? Must be other hangout users or there is a charge, which makes it hard to receive calls or text messages when out of tmobile service area. Using skype right now and that worked. but again had to be another skype member to be free.

It is awesome for screen size. I am 13 and have small hands and I can hold i can hold it perfectly fine. The phone e is literally the dream phone!!
