and i can't think of a more boring, unimaginative company than HP.
no thanks.
Cicsco. At least on the consumer front.
The Pre does not "simultaneously run" 50 apps. What you see in that vid is the Pre OPENING 50 apps without getting a memory error. The vast majority of them are dormant immediately afterward,

Homebrewing your Pre is no different than rooting your Android device.
Synergy is already largely replicated in Android 2.0.

You cant lump the Sprint pre with the Palm Pre Plus. Which has superior hardware.
One of the major issues that many of my friends/colleagues have had with the Pre hardware was with the headphone jack. Shockingly enough, Palm used a really cheap headphone jack that would get stuck in headset mode when you physically removed your headset, but the phone would keep recognizing that the headset was there. It made it really fun answering calls but not being able to hear the caller.
Did any of you who have been lucky enough to test out the EVO try using the headset? If so, how did it sound/function, and were there any "sticking" issues?
Out of curiosity do the Pre chargers work on the Evo? Would be nice to not have to buy all new chargers again. Figured since both are micro USB that they might.
I'm hoping the same thing. I don't see why they wouldn't.
Yes they will but wouldn't recommend it if its not outputting the prover voltage.I'm hoping the same thing. I don't see why they wouldn't.
i'm only going with OEM Sprint or HTC EVO chargers. i don't need to be pinching pennies with a $500 phone.
The same concerns were voiced when the pre came out.. I have used a variety of charging cables, especially at work when I forgot mine, with no issues with my pre. If you charge from USB on your computer they all are the same, output .5A. While wall chargers output .5V and 1.0A.. This is why your phone will charge slower via usb.. Look at the wall charger that comes with the phone and the small print about the output, compare with what you have and save some $$.
Here is a sedio one that works with pre and htc models..

I own a seidio wall charger myself which is why I was curious.
Edit: Actually I have that same charger you linked.
Edit 2: Looks like that link answers my question, as this is directly off that site: "Works with: HTC HD2, Google Nexus One / Sprint HTC Evo 4G / Verizon HTC Droid Incredible"
Funny how it doesn't mention the Pre though as that's what I bought it for, and it would work on the Motorola Droid also... ah well.
