I just canceled my Pre-Order

I would love to get the Note 8, too, but I am such a bleeping device junkie that I am chomping at the bit for my new S8+. In other words, I'm one sick woman. However, I am putting down a down payment of half of the one year due for my once a year AT&T every year NEXT plan, so I probably will be able to trade up to the new Note when it comes out. And I will want to, because I am obsessed.

This is how the S8 was supposed to be but Synaptics failed to meet Samsung's demand before production began. I don't know if they have enough time for the the Note 8 but I hope so. IMO they should take time to put out a quality product instead of rushing and putting out something that doesn't work well.

Hard to say how close they were but we also don't know when they decided to pull the trigger. Have to imagine it was several weeks ago and I'm sure they have been working non-stop since then and have several more months to get things right. I think they will get it done.

Get what you like and be happy. Canceling my 8+ due to not liking the narrow display and curved corners. Went and tried at BB on four trips (one today) and totaled about 90 minutes with it. The more I use it, the less I like the display ratio and curves. Especially the curved corners.

Though everything else IMO is good, the display is the main factor for me. Note 4 will do until the Note 8. Hoping it at least gets rid of the curved corners and adds some portrait width.

This is the one thing I am worried about to I wonder if Samsung over did it with the narrowing of the device especially with content in landscape mode

Of course I can't see for myself because yet to find any demos in my area

Well, I just canceled my order. I've decided to wait on the Note 8 as it is not that far off and as disappointed as I was to give up the Note 7 I can't order the S8+ and expect to be happy until I see the Note 8. I have to admit that if the S8 had been the same size as the Note 7 I just may had been satisfied but the S8+ even though it says it is a 6.2 it is the same width as the Edge and too tall. It reminds me of one of a previous IPhones. It's just too darn skinny so I am going to bite the bullet and hold out and see what Samsung brings to the table in the 4th quarter.

Did the phone get narrower since ordering it? Not sure why you ordered only to cancel.

I know just how you feel. Last year I got the iPhone 6s in January a month later I got the S7 edge. A few months later I got the Note 7 and later that year I got the iPhone 7 and 7 plus. I really need to get checked out because the well will run dry one day if I don't.

Looks narrow and taller, curves still there.

I personally believe the ones hoping the note 8 will not follow the narrow and taller screen and the curves are going to be dissapointed in the note 8 and its going to cost more.

Also, for those complaining about the form factor of the S8 line... I wouldn't expect the Note to be any different. Maybe bigger than the S8+, but definitely expect curved display with veeeeery likely the same aspect ratio.

It's called 'sleeping on it' after an impulse buy Seems like the OP prefers the Note line, and since not on a device upgrade program, it does matter if you suddenly change your mind and decide to wait for the next best thing

Perhaps the Note 8 will have the FPS embedded in the display...

Very possible but if that's the only difference, it isn't worth the wait. This fps location is being blown WAY out of proportion. In a month or two noone will be crying about it anymore.

Every year is the same preordered I'm so excited,should I change my mind, it hasn't shipped yet, just got it best phone ever and then finally real world reviews if funny to watch the cycle repeat itself
