I just saw where the Mate 9 is only $399 now

So if I decide against getting the new iPhone 8 and keeping my honor 8 as my daily driver do you think the Mate 9 is still worth buying being now that it's dated? It would sure make for a great media device to rotate out with my honor 8. I'm just concerned about how much longer it will be updated like I am with the honor 8. What do you guys think? I think the price is finally low enough to where I'd consider getting it but the updates or possible lack of is what concerns me. Thoughts?

I would buy it at $400. You get a lot for your buck.
