so far, does the S7 seem to have more, less or about the same amt of initial issues/complaints as previous flagship Samsung phones?

From what I see about the same . battery is a back and forth thing. Odd hang ups here and there . but nothing wide scale .

Honestly only battery life is better, TouchWiz still has a little lag. I assume the less apps and data will make it run smoother

I believe most of you guys here are from the US which means your phones are from certain carriers. Are those carrier's bloat really have that much impact on your phones causing noticeable lags? And have anyone tried an unlocked version if there is really a difference? Because I remember with older flagship android phones were really slow, but not anymore.

I have a UK unlocked S7 and S7 Edge and both are problem free. The bloat that US providers put on their phones does lessen the experience somewhat apparently.

I'm the same, very little bloat on the UK version and very happy with performance and battery life so far.

it's interesting. I have the phone from T-mobile and got no bloat. just one or two apps from tmobile. no Microsoft junk either. am I the only one?

I'm on Verizon (who is infamous for bloatware). I feel there is less of it on the S7 than in previous models. I've had my phone for 3 days. No problems with lag or (so far) any of the issues I've read about. My biggest complaint a feature they removed (Airview) and the slower than slow wireless charger that came free with the phone. Once again, proving you get what you pay for!

Not much lag happening on my phone now. I did go into the application manager and disable any bloatware application I didn't want to use from Verizon.

My S7 also came from TMo. It has very little bloat and runs smoothly with generous battery life. I shut down all of the TMo apps, except visual voicemail. It's easy enough to do and they don't show much in the battery usage screen.

The level of complaints seems to me to be about the same as most new phones. Understand that most people don't post on forums like this one to say "Hey, I have no issues with my phone." People join, and post, to search for answers when they do have problems, or sometimes just to complain.

I've read this and other forms before buying all my phones, except this one. And I've thought, "Lord, this phone is terrible." Then got mine and found it worked perfectly fine.

This is my first Android phone, I've always had iPhones, which have no bloatware at all on them. So my opinion might be biased, but I would have to say my AT&T S7 has a staggering amount of bloatware and crapware and dupeware. And no way to delete it all, just disable it all, whatever that means. It's still taking up space. Love the phone, hate the crapware.
