I just flashed Adrynalyne's Superclean 2.9 and it seems pretty cool but the one thing that is missing the Program Monitor widget. Adrynalyne post Touchwiz Launcher and widgets under his patches section. Is there a way to just get the PM widget apk on to my phone. I tried putting just the apk file on my sd card and loading it with CWM but I guess it has to be in a zip file? If this question has been answered elsewhere I apologize and please direct me there.

Stock Task manager?? that is on there and works great, maybe im off base on what u want

I believe that what I'm looking for is the widget for the stock task manager. It shows you if you have any running apps. I have seen that I should not be using Advance Task Killer even though I have had no issues but maybe that is because I'm am very selective about what app I use it for.

All I do is put the shortcut for the task manager on my main screen. No worries just as good

Yeah I can do that but this widget will show you the number of open apps automatically with out having to open up anything. Maybe I'm being a little childish but I just just want my dang widget. LOL :(

If you already have the apk for the widget you can move it into the /system/app folder using a file explorer

I tried it and I got the warning message " You can not move here because the file system is read-only"
I just look at the apk in My Files and it called the app that I'm looking for SamsungWidget_ProgramMonitor.apk. Maybe that is the problem.

if you are using root explorer you need to hit the mount r/w button at the top

and thats what its suppose to be called

I used to love this task manager/killer (simplistic and easy to use) when I used my fascinate anyone know if I pull the apk file and copy it to my Thunderbolt if it will work on another device or will it just cause me force close issues? Anyone else tried moving this app to another device?

Ok it is now in my system file but when I look in widgets it is not there even after a reboot.

Oh say it ain't so John Wayne without his gun. No problem I will get by. From what I've read in other posts if it can be done you guy's can figure it out. You guys are either smarter than Einstein or have way to much time on your hands.

too much time

Too much time. And that widget may show up in your apps instead of your widgets. I really like the daily briefing widget- got weather, stocks, and news all in the same place. I finally have it back thanks to the TW clock patch from Adrynalyne, but it is in my app list not my widget. No problem for me as long as I have access to it. Check your apps. If it's there you can just put a shortcut on your homescreen.

The widget only works with the stock touchwiz launcher, if you load another launcher onto a stock fascinate you can't get that widget with any other launchers regardless. The closes I've seen is an app called active apps that is designed to basically just rip off that exact widget + a little more functionality.

That's it. It seems to function just like the one I was looking for. Thanks alot, you are the reason that I'm rooted. After reading your posts on rooting I took the plunge and now I'm rock'n out with SFC 2.9.2 and CWM Red.
