I LOVE this phone!!!

I had a Blackberry Storm 1 and 2. Last year I switched to the Incredible 1 and was extremely happy with it. The Incredible 2 is many times better in my opinion.

The only thing I miss about BBerry is the mail program. Any mail other than google is slower and subject to more spam. However you can set google mail to deliver aol and pop mail through google. The settings are done through google mail on your computer(not the Phone) Now all my mail comes to one mailbox.

My daughter just switched to the 2 from a blackberry and absolutely loves it. I think if you read through this and other forums you will find many posts where people made the switch and are happy.

K9 App fixed my email issues..you can get mail there up to 1 minute at a time..instant really. Does eat some battery.

I converted from Berry...will NEVER go back. Looking at DINC 2 for an upgrade.

I have had the opportunity to own several Android devices. I haven't had a chance to experience the Dinc2 yet. I currently own the Thunderbolt.

In my experience all the devices were about the same. They all beat the BB and the crapPhone. The only drawback is all the crapware that the carriers place on it.

If you're running stock software, you will always suffer a little. You might call some of it acceptable but its not. Once you root your device, you will be a lot happier. I know I am with my choice.

Did anyone come over from Blackberry? I have a Tour and was considering making the jump. any thoughts or insight would be appreciated.

I made the switch from a BlackBerry Tour 9630 to an original Droid Incredible (Bought off contract) and there are a lot of things to think about and weigh in on before actually deciding to go Android. Everyone tells you to just do it, but here's my take on the switch.

Pro's of Switching:
- Faster: For some reason, the 3G on my Droid Incredible was WAY faster than my Tour. Throw in a 1 Ghz Processor and WiFi and you're going to be blown away. You can get a lot done in the time you take your incredible out of your pocket vs. Tour.
- No Rebooting: If you want to update your apps, you don't have to reboot your phone. I HATED that about the Blackberry. And since it took like 10 minutes to reboot...it was a pain.
- Sense UI: Hands down, the single reason I got a Incredible was for Sense UI. It's a real good looking, functional, and practical user interface. I always thought Stock Android felt a bit overwhelming and ugly, and I think Sense does a good job fixing that.
- More Apps: I've always told people that App Store's are about quality, not quantity. Android's App Market seems to have a variety of good apps available. I'm not an app person myself, but when my Bank has an app for Android and not for BlackBerry its kind of a no-brainer.

What You'll Miss (Cons):
- Computer Syncing: Yeah using the Google cloud for everything is nice, but being able to sync and backup all your data easily with your computer with a native program is the best. I really miss this about my BlackBerry. I plug it in, everything syncs. With Android you have to find 3rd party apps to backup SMS, photos, etc.
- That Damn Keyboard: I miss it, so, so much. Nothing stacks up to the keyboard on a Tour/Bold. I was able to type messages much faster. The onscreen keyboard and predictive text is good, but I still make mistakes typing.
- Media Syncing: I never thought I'd say this, but syncing media on your computer to Blackberry is easier than Android. DoubleTwist is pretty good, but I like how BB's native desktop app imports photos and videos and syncs music easily.

All in all, I'm glad I made the switch, but don't think it's going to be a better experience all around. You'll get used to Android and like it a lot more, but there might be some things you'll miss about BlackBerry. That being said I think the Incredible 2 is a great phone because it's using technology that already works well. Coming from a Tour to a Incredible 2, 3G and the 1Ghz processor will feel plenty fast.
